Lawrence Taylor goes on Foxnews and brings the lulz.
This is of Emmitt Smith epic-ness. Hilarious.
http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/n...id=6249691 During an interview Tuesday after he was sentenced to six years' probation, Lawrence Taylor made no apologies for visiting a prostitute, and said he did not know she was underage. Taylor, 52, avoided jail time by pleading guilty in January to sexual misconduct and patronizing a 16-year-old prostitute stemming from an incident in May 2010. Both counts are misdemeanors. Speaking on Fox News' "Studio B with Shepard Smith," Taylor said he had asked the prostitute her age, and was told she was 19. [+] EnlargeLawrence Taylor Mike Coppola/Getty ImagesLawrence Taylor leaves Rockland County Courthouse on Tuesday after his sentencing. He did not speak in court but later lashed out in a TV interview. "That's not my M.O. I've been around kids and people all my life," said Taylor, a former New York Giants linebacker and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. "I'm not the cause of prostitution. And sometimes I make mistakes and I may go out there. And I didn't go pick her up on no playground. She wasn't hiding behind the school bus or getting off a school bus. This is a working girl that came to my room." Taylor blamed the institution of prostitution for the fact that he ended up with an underage girl. "It's the world of prostitution," he said during the Fox News interview. "You never know what you're gonna get. Is it gonna be a pretty girl, an ugly girl or whatever it's gonna be." Or a young girl? Smith asked. "You can only ask," Taylor said. "I don't card them. I don't ask for a birth certificate." Taylor said he had "no beef" with the girl. "I'll take my punishment like I should, but my problem is at home with my wife, so that's really the only one I have to answer to," he said in the interview. How did he get in the situation in the first place? Smith asked. "It happens sometimes," Taylor said. "I'd been on the road 10 or 11 days and I came in to town. Actually, I made a phone call to a friend of mine, and he made a phone call." Taylor said he has used the services of prostitutes in the past, especially between 1994 and 2001, when he was not married. "I'm not looking for a relationship. Hey, sometimes I look for some company," Taylor said. "It's all clean. I don't have to worry about your feelings. It's all clean. I'm not saying it's right. It's the oldest profession in the world." But right or wrong, Taylor appears to not consider prostitution a serious crime. "I guess you call it a crime," he said during the interview. "It's one of those crimes you don't think about. You never think you're gonna get busted because everyone does it until you get busted, and then it's more embarrassing than anything else." |

RE: Lawrence Taylor goes on Foxnews and brings the lulz.
That's awesome. One of THE MOST candid & honest interviews I've ever heard. He simply came out & laid it all out there. No sugarcoating or sidestepping.
I don't really respect what he did to get in trouble, but I don't live in that world so it's something I won't really judge. It's wrong for me, but his business is his business & he's certainly going to pay for it from his wife. The probation's gonna be a cakewalk by comparison. I do respect his response to all of it though. |

I'm thinking he didn't talk that one over with his attorney before he gave that interview. Good stuff nonetheless. |

This ^ is the part that I get the most. You never think about until you're in cuffs/ She DID in fact come to his room and I'm sure that he didn't say, "Give me a school girl". Just call an escort service (its as easy as thumbing through the yellow pages). I will not judge him, God and his wife will handle this one privately. |

This isnt very funny. The other side of that story:
PRINT EMAIL FACEBOOK DIGG TWITTER RSS SHARE Even during his NFL playing days, Lawrence Taylor's life off the field was troubled. APNEW CITY, N.Y. (AP) -- Former football star Lawrence Taylor was sentenced Tuesday to six years on probation for an encounter with an underage prostitute. The New York Giants ex-linebacker pleaded guilty in January to sexual misconduct and having sex with the underage prostitute. The girl, now 17, appeared in court with well-known attorney Gloria Allred and said afterward that Taylor should have gone to jail. The girl has been identified in court and by Allred only by her initials, C.F. The teen denied she is a prostitute and said another man forced her to go to Taylor's hotel room in May 2010. She believes Taylor could tell that she had been beaten and that she was underage. She said Taylor took "something precious" from her and should be behind bars. Allred said the girl had wanted to read a victim-impact statement in court. The judge, however, said victims are entitled to speak only at felony sentencings. Taylor had pleaded guilty to misdemeanors. Taylor was arrested May 6 at a Holiday Inn in Montebello, N.Y., after the girl's uncle contacted New York City police. The ex-athlete was charged with third-degree rape because she was underage. When he pleaded guilty to the lesser charges, Taylor admitting having intercourse with the girl, who turned out to be a Bronx runaway. He said she told him she was 19, but he added that he now knows the girl was 16 and legally incapable of consent. He said he paid her $300. Taylor led the New York Giants to Super Bowl titles in 1987 and 1991. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the NFL's 75th Anniversary All-Time Team. In 2009, he competed in ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." He had also been a spokesman for the weight-loss company NutriSystem, but he was dropped after his arrest. Taylor also will have to abide by the conditions of a sex offender. But the judge postponed until April 12 a hearing to determine what level of sex offender will be assigned to him. All sex offenders have to report their address annually and report any changes in 10 days. In Level 1 and 2, offenders have to get their picture taken every three years; in Level 3, it's every year. Level 3 offenders also have to report the name and address of their employer and advise of any change. John Caher, spokesman for the state Criminal Justice Services Division, said that although Level 1 offenders aren't posted on a public website, anyone who calls the division can find out if a person is a sex offender. Allred would not say whether her client plans to sue Taylor. Copyright 2011 Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed. |

Not taking his side at all. I don't remember correctly, but I recall her "pimp" being arrested around the same time as LT. If we're talking degrees of evil here, I say he takes the cake in this unfortunate situation.

RE: Lawrence Taylor goes on Foxnews and brings the lulz.
Yeah, I don't buy it. He should be in jail. Being paid for or not, if there is any evidence that she was hesitant, he shouldn't have gone through with it.
Prostitution should be legal and intensely regualted for this exact reason. You never know what circumstance the provider is under. At least if they had to be licensed you would have less of a chance of getting an underage girl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3CXS04cy...re=related |
