Why not get Fitz for that price?!

Because Fitzgerald is not 22 years old, he would be good with Roddy for a few years and they would both trail off.

It would be more likely to cause controversy if two guys at their prime are forced to share the field.

Instead we get a future number 1 receiver and a great current #2 to help Roddy out.

Roddy ages in a few years and either leaves or becomes #2 if Julio pans out and takes #1.



As stated by many, we didn't lose 5 picks, we lost 4 because we gained a 1st rounder back in the deal.

We lose a 1st next year yes, but...

There is still free agency, Im certain TD has a plan and will sign a DE that will be better than any DE we'd get in the 2nd round.

We lose two 4th rounders but maybe gain compensation for Nicholas now that we signed Dent... Therefore getting us a 4th+ pick back.


Come on guys, you cannot deny how exciting this trade made the draft and during all this lockout bullshit, it for sure helped me to get pumped for the NFL even at this time.


Julio looks like a great guy who just wants to win...

It's still April, wait until September to judge TD's entire offseason.

Plus it wasn't an option available without a CBA in place. Had it been, that very well may have happened.
