Jenkins Practicing this week!!

RE: Jenkins Practicing this week!!
I'm sick of people saying "I am glad, He's a good blocking WR." Who cares? He's a WR he should catch the ball first and he can't do it consistently. We need play makers not a below average WR who can block.

I am super excited to be getting Jenks back. Ridiculous blocker and good for a few awesome catches every game. I am excited to finally see Roddy, Jenks, and HD on the field together again. Throw in TonyG and we are looking good on the receiving front.

Well guess what? I am SICK of seeing people dog out a guy that has worked his ass off and done eerything our coaching staff has asked out of him. I CARE that he is one of the best blocking WRs in the league on our power running team. Some of you people just dont get it and are so worried about passing numbers you completely neglect the fact that Jenks does put up similar numbers to other #2 and #3 WRs in the league. He is the THIRD passing option in our offense.

The coaches love him. His teammates love him. He was rewarded a very nice contract to be our #2 WR for the forseeable future. If all the Coaches and Players think he is great for our team, what the flying fuck is wrong with all these fans that continuously dog him out and call him garbage?

I "dog" him because of all the crucial dropped passes. A WR gets paid to CATCH the ball not BLOCK down the field.

RE: Jenkins Practicing this week!!
Look at his drops compared to Roddy's drops. Really man, you guys need to be less quick to lay the blame on people and do some cursory research before finalizing your opinions.

No, in our scheme, Jenkins got a sexy longterm contract, because he is a fantastic blocker that also puts up decent receiving numbers. He has maintained his job as a starter, and will continue to do so, because he is a hard worker that helps the running game and passing game. He not only blocks in the run game, but he hustles towards the ball every down and blocks for his fellow recievers too.

Ill say it again: In our scheme he has remained a starter primarily for his blocking and the ability to catch a few balls every game. The sooner people realize this and come to terms with what he does for our offense, the sooner we can stop hearing about how terrible Jenks is.

Good to have him back. Another weapon on a sluggish offense is never a bad thing.

It seems like Jenkins cannot catch the simple passes...

I understand where you are coming from but you have to understand this. Our offensive philosophy is run first. Given our offensive strategy he is a very important piece as he is probably our best blocking receiver. When we adopt a new strategy on offense, I will call for someone else to step into our #2 receiver position. Until then, I can't wait to see him back on the field.

You can want improvement from Jenkins, we all do, but if you remove him from the lineup, we're missing a weapon; plain and simple.

RE: Jenkins Practicing this week!!
I like Jenkins, he's pretty quick... Apparently he shares a distant heir with the Kris Jenkins, who as we all know can run at light speed.

Unfortunately for the latter Jenkins, human ACL's were not meant to move at those speeds.
