Jason Snelling moving from No. 3 RB to second string
With RB Jason Snelling moving from No. 3 RB to second string, his role on special teams will diminish, according to coach Mike Smith. Smith said Snelling will be limited to just a couple of special teams units. Falcons RapidReports

8 minutes ago - Coach Mike Smith on RB Jason Snelling earning the right to receive more touches and be a bigger part of the Falcons offense: "Jason's just a darn good football player. He makes plays in the run game and makes plays in the pass game." Falcons RapidReports

RE: Jason Snelling moving from No. 3 RB to second string
I really don't think this should, nor will, surprise anyone. This is great news for Snelling, I'm really happy for him, he definitely earned that spot on the depth chart. I think he would have taken the backup role to Turner from Norwood regardless of if Norwood got injured or not.

Hopefully he keeps up the great performance.

No surprise with Norwood out for the year, Obviously he's going to move up a slot.
