No where - and I mean nowhere in my post did you see me say that Kevin Kolb was better than Matt Ryan - as a matter of FACT - i specifically said that he was NOT BETTER. You are right. You have my apologies. I didn't mean for it to come out so condescendingly, but after reading it again, it did. I knew you weren't knocking on Ryan, I was just laughing when I first read it where it said the 300+ yards and I was like - didn't he only play a couple of games - so I went and looked. I meant it jovially because it really did make me laugh - but I wrote it while I was stopped for a little while when driving down to Ft Lauderdale for work - and I must have been tired and cranky or something - because looking at it now - it came out as a knock. I didn't mean for it to - and I'm sorry. ![]()

(10-14-2010 02:51 PM)Tandy Wrote: You are right. You have my apologies. no worries, Tandy....... my point is still the same. Falcons can win - but it won't be easy. Kolb is a decent young QB - he's better than Dennis Dixon, better than Derek Anderson, better than Seneca Wallace, better than Jake Delhomme, better than Alex Smith. In other words, Kevin Kolb is better than every QB that Falcons have faced so far not named Drew Brees - IMHO. Four games or not, Kevin Kolb is a decent QB that has had some success - albeit in limited experience - in his short NFL career. When you give Kolb such weapons as Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Brent Celek and Lesean McCoy - they will give the Falcons defense their 2nd largest test of the year......Kolb is infinitely inferior to Drew Brees but I would argue that Kolb has better weapons at RB, WR and TE than Brees does so Eagles are more divirsified than Saints and Eagles Defense > Saints Defense. Falcons can win this game - but some of you are acting like Falcons will win this game handily. Maybe they will - but trying to be objective - these two teams are fairly evenly matched and Eagles are the home team which means something. Falcons are a better home team than they are a road team as well. Falcons are a -2.5point underdog right now per Vegas..... Not saying that Falcons cannot win - Falcons certainly can - but this will most likely be a tightly contested game and not a Falcons blowout of Iggles. |
