RE: James H , mod on the oMB
Just use the old Logo. Problem solved.
Dont cave in to pressure from AFMB. This board has got their attention now, and expectedly so. It's thriving. And they feel it's taking away viewers from their Ad sponsors, which defeats the point of the Ads. Stand your ground and dont give in without a fight. |

I've gotta give Jay Adams some props though. He's done a great job being a direct line for us fans!

I just want to make sure no one mistakes this post for anything it isn't. Jay Adams has NEVER been even an atomic particle on a flea's nuts part of the any of the issues. He is probably the best thing that has happened to that site in a looong time. I respect J. Mike, but Jay is making him look like an amateur right out of the gate. His accessible and forthcoming manner, and his efforts to communicate the issues the OMB was facing are beyond reproach. I'm relatively certain you're speaking of his giving us access to the team, and not any of this petty MB nonsense, but just wanted to make sure no one else read anything into your post to indicate otherwise. I totally meant his accessibility to us and the benefits henceforth. He's GREAT! Probably not the best thread to mention it though. Point noted. Season Ticket Holder Sec. 341 Row 1 |

RE: James H , mod on the oMB
Ok guys, I leave for THREE hours and this mess occurs.
Good Lord.... Here's the deal and repeat this to yourself. "We have something good here." We don't need the OFMB to satisfy our fan needs anymore. Please, let's just quit the bickering back and forth. Superfan, Gritz you guys are right. We look like a pack of whining kids. We know what we don't like there. We know what needs to be fixed there. And clearly we know how they truly feel about the message board. Hal said it himself that "IT'S JUST ANOTHER MESSAGE BOARD". To us who have registered here, the Falcons are a part of our lives. The fans are a part of our lives. We are all family and we enjoy the community that has brought us all together. I'm gonna say this. Leave the pissing party to someone else. I honestly have nothing against James's comment to Peyton (imagine that). James has been pissed on all week and he finally broke. I don't blame him for that and he has every right to say what he said. So, let's just chill out. AFT has no need to act like this anymore. The points have been made, and some things have been changed over there for the better. I personally couldn't give a damn if they were giving away money for people to post. I'm not going over there anymore. AFT has grown tremendously this week and it will continue to grow. As Supes stated, we need not become known for our pissing match. We need to be know as THE PLACE FOR FALCONS FANS TO BE. Arthur Blank wants us to rise up. I say, "Rise Up". Wait.... RISE UP RISE UP RISE UP AFT MEMBERS Rise Up to make this YOUR HOME. Rise Up to support the Falcons and fellow fans. Rise Up to let your voice be heard with quality threads and discussions. Rise Up to defeat the need to seek fan fulfillment anywhere else. After this first week, I believe that the OFMB just lost their most quality members. I have been nothing but impressed at the quality of the posts here, and the indepth discussions. Just look at what we have here. In ONE WEEK: Our members have made a total of 7,976 posts in 489 threads. We currently have 362 members registered. What's our identity? This is OUR identity. Quality over quantity. A community over just another board. A FAN DRIVEN PLACE BY THE FANS, FOR THE FANS. We don't need bickering back and forth. That is for the dogs. I said my peace there just like many of you. But today is THE day that we change our image from a bunch of whiners. BY THE FANS, FOR THE FANS Let's agree that the feud is over and we can begin, this day, to develop the best damn Falcon community on the web. I have faith in it. So RISE UP AFT!!!! Let's begin.

RE: James H , mod on the oMB
I was going to send James a reconciliatory message, but he beat me to it. I think me and James are cool now.
I think dude has felt under attack over there, and I actually understand it. Anyways, let's give him a break. He's just doing his job with the limitations that have been placed on him. |

RE: James H , mod on the oMB
I agree with Supes, Gritz and Phocis. Pissing matches only serve to get folks wet and solve nothing. All that needed to be said got said by the posters that left AFMB and came here. Believe you me, they notice the decrease in traffic, and so will their advertisers. Message sent...loud and clear.
