Well, I'm redheaded, and a stepchild. I'm just not pissed off anymore.

The part in bold above is what I kind of meant, but left out of my post. There are no guarantees of success in this venture here at AFT. However, I LOVE the concept "by the fans, for the fans", and just like any successful business venture - if you have a good vision, and a mission statement to back that up, then you will usually realize some great success.

I appreciate that they're finally listening and doing something about the posters' complaints there. I really do. And the "skinny ad" thing that was causing so much grief, will likely eventually go away, too. What, then?

I'm not ruling out EVER posting or visiting over there again, but as for the state and the future of THIS board.... I'm all in. We may not have access to all of the good things about that board. But we do have some GREAT things going on here, that no one seems to recognize or value over there. Hopefully, we can continue that, and make it another "place in space" that people WANT to come to and congregate to discuss Falcons, Football, and whatever else is on their mind.

So far, I'm not seeing anything concrete to indicate anything otherwise. It's all about choices at the end of the day. Most people would rather have too many, than too few. I choose to focus my posting energies and time here and doing what I can to make this a place where others will enjoy congregating, too.

I say just go with the old logo anyways. Superfan says it is no longer trademarked and I think there are plenty of members here who like the nostalgic look anyways.

Well in all honesty nobody ever claimed a message board was the best way to communicate effectively, especially with sarcasm and such as it's often misinterpreted as something else.

Personally, I wouldn't concern myself with any of it any more if I were you because no good can come from it. You've got a great alt board going here and the last thing you'd want is the old "us vs. them" thing to start happening.

As far as the logo, that's purely an NFL thing and if you ever did get a warning, it would be from the NFL and not the Falcons.

Dude, that is the thing. I totally do not have that mentality. Not only have I continued to post over there, but I've stated all along that the intention is starting another board was to inspire them to do it better. I even said it in that very thread that he closed.

I will say this.....I have been stunned, really stunned at the piss poor quality of the majority of threads over there at AFMB since we started over here.

The only reason I have to go over there anymore is to see my pal Supes' weekly cartoon.

I like it here better. I think the chat works better than a thread for game day. Hell it was tons of fun during the Saints/Niners game last night. I had no problem with trolls or with the admins over there but the crashing and poor design killed it. Checking the link here was the first time I've been over there since this place started.
