Is Spoon overrated by our fan base ?

Weatherspoon didn't have the same impact after he hurt his ankle against the Eagles.

Agree that tackling was a problem but it really was ACROSS the board....I don't think he is WAY overrated......he just doesn't have a good supporting cast....at least not yet.....

honestly we need to part with some of the age and add high motor individuals who are going to play the full 60......

Ummmm what age are you going to get rid of?

Player - (NFL experience)
Abe - 13 years, Just got a new deal
Biermann - 5 years
Babs - 8 years, Our best DT
Peters - 3 years

Spoon - 3 years
Dent - 2 years
Nicholas - 6 years, Just got a new deal

Decoud - 5 years, Just got a new deal
Asante - 10 years, Just got here
Dunta - 9 years, Just restructured his deal but could see him cut after next season.
Willy Mo - 4 years, UFA and may not even be here next year.

So all of our "old" players either are on new deals or they are the best players on the defense.

Get rid of Abraham. Only 17 tackles and 3 sacks over the final 11 games of the season. Not good enough.

Make Nicholas a backup where he belongs.
