Is Spoon overrated by our fan base ?

I heard all Spoon calls yesterday but he was exposed in pass coverage
He was man handled on Gore trap plays .
I would like to see what PFF grades him for the game .
He took a step back this year plus injuries .

Is he play maker on defense we can build around ?

Yes, he is a playmaker we can build around. But we need to give him a better supporting cast. He needs a d-line that can actually pressure the QB and bring him down consistently. He needs a corner that doesn't concuss himself on every other play. He needs a FS that doesn't tackle like Deion Sanders.

You think he can play 3-4 ILB or OLB not rush ?

If Abe is done , I hope we start transition into 3-4

Need to stay with 4-3. The 4-3 has worked well against traditional QBs and is actually more effective schematically than the 3-4 versus these option plays. It is not a schematic issue. Just need better players and for the players we got to get better.

I think he would be a great 3-4 ILB. Willis and Bowman are all over the field because their DC is always calling plays that put them in a position to make a play on the ball. He could still fly around in the middle in the 3-4.

I was/am a big Spoon fan, but he's overrated as hell. I realized this as the year went on.

Plain and simple, he can't fucking tackle. Mdrake34, I trust Decoud to make a tackle before I do Spoon. Too many times I've seen him throw his shoulder into somebody in the open field and they still go for another 8-12 yards til Decoud or somebody domes and actually wraps the bastard up.
