Defense.....impressive effort they were out there a LONG TIME and made the most of it. amazing coverage all night long with Samuel out....guys were in place but they got yards when Drew Brees was on....once he got rattled the defense started picking him

Offense - Kind of stalled out and flat tonight....not like them to go 1/9 on third down conversions.....

Loved Turner's play....just wish we would have fed him the rock a bit more he was averaging almost 11 yards a carry when we started forcing the pass....

Not too worried because I know they have games like this....It was a great win...I was happy to see Brees streak broken against us...and a new career high for him (ints..that is!)

When our Offense and defense click in the same game we are going to mow someone over....just wonder when it will happen.

Magic number is 3 for #1 Seed (can drop to 2 if San Fran drops another one....)

Honestly I will take a #1 or #2 seed as long as we get a bye.....I just would prefer to play in Georgia the whole way thru (that said...our best games seem to be on the road)

Chris Owens played a hell of a game, glad to see him step up after Asante went out.

I thought Owens Did VERY well as did McClain when he was in....i only saw two or three plays where defenders were out of position...Tackling was good...not great, but solid....most of the big runs were not necessarily missed tackles as much as the saints exploiting holes they had made.

The non pass interference call at the start of the game was terrible (Roddy totally is grabbed by the arm)....as was the last offsides that negated the first 5th int.....he jumps but does not cross into the neutral zone.

I love the way the defense is playing right now...I really think the are gelling with 4 games to go in this season....they are actually hitting their stride at the right point....I just hope the offense can get back on track in the next couple of games so we can hit on all cylinders in the playoffs....this is OUR YEAR....I want OUR RING!

Owens really has improved since his cringe-inducing years. His speed was always there, and now his technique seems to have matched it well.

I am hoping we can get TG another 250 yards this season....I would love to see him and Julio and Roddy all crack the 1000 yard mark.....Julio needs about 80 yards he should get that in 4 games....

I really want Tony to finish strong....I would love to see him get that ring...and maybe even decide he wants to stay for another year....my bet is he retires when we win....but I am hoping him still gaining 1000 will change his mind.....

Not sure if we can get Turner 1000 yards rushing but if we could that would be impressive......

I know they are just stats....but it would be nice to see all kinds of team records broken....

My thoughts

Owens - holy shit dude, making plays, who knew?

Moore - doing the #25 of Scott Case proud. Becoming one of my all time favorites.

Defense - outstanding especially considering they were without Asante.

Brees said they own the division however since 2008, 2 titles for us, 2 for them, 1 for Carolina.

Nolan - our savior (sorry Jesus)

End of the td streak - finally 1 of these things goes our way.

The team overall responded well to adversity, there was one point in the game where it could've turned the other way but the team withstood the assault.

Matt Bryant 55 yds - looks like he's got his mojo back.

Our defense was only out of place maybe 3-4 plays the whole game. the big yardage they got were just solid passes by Brees, but our guys were right there.....had our defenders turned around on 3-4 plays we may have had 8 interceptions....I was VERY impressed with the defense...even the tackling and guys helping others take a guy down. their big runs were the back hitting a pocket that was available.

Was sad that Abe didn't get a few more sacks their line was working hard tonight.....

Offense played well for 1 quarter then kind of tried to force the pass instead of work the run that was averaging 11 yards per carry.....not sure why we stopped running.....I would have done the madden thing and ran the same plays until they started stopping us...

Our defense is playoff ready. There is plenty of time for the offense to get ready.
The Saints played pure spags style D today. Pressure up the middle allowed them to drop more into coverage. We answered when we had to.

Nolan gets the savior tag today.

Absolutely....Offense has looked ready "at times" but the last few weeks I think we are tinkering with stuff and playing around seeing what works and doesn't.....a nice luxury to have when your defense is performing well....

I would have disagreed about 2 weeks ago on the defense who has really started tackling well....I love seeing the young guys come in and not missing a beat.....last year when Owens subbed we were killed.....

Fun to think we are doing this well on defense all without Grimes.....could you imagine how good this defensive secondary would be with him?!?!?1 Wow....what could have been there....

Now it is a health versus experience battle as we vy for the #1 seed........
