RE: If Andrew Luck goes to Carolina
Let me also add that, Carolina is in great shape for a rookie QB. Bring him in do the same thing the Falcons, Ravens, and Jets did which is run heavy offense, bend don't break defense, and let the rookie come in managing the game from day one as he gets more and more responsibility each and every week.

RE: If Andrew Luck goes to Carolina
Personally I hope they draft a punter in the first round and that he is constantly banged up from over use

You can attribute that to the QB carousel going on, but I don't think a different QB is going to change that. Jimmy Clausen put up amazing numbers at Notre Dame and they ran a pro style offense. He came to Carolina and was thrown into the fire. Steve Smith will never be what he used to be, and the other receivers aren't anywhere near ready to step up and make an impact. If I am Carolina, I give Clausen the ball and go out and draft AJ Green and then shore up the Offensive line with the rest of the draft. AJ Green would instantly give Jimmy someone he can build a chemistry with. Steve Smith could then be put in the #2 position thus taking alot of pressure from him. Add to that the running game, and like you said their defense, and I believe they become a .500 team. If they take luck, they are just throwing money away. They invested enough money in Jimmy as it is. I respectfully disagree. WR's usually take a good amount of time to come around. It's rare that a rookie WR comes in and just starts balling. I like AJ Green, I think he has a strong chance to be great, but it's still not the best thing to think he's going to just come in and get the #1 spot. Also, Steve Smith is starting to become a nuisance on the team and it doesn't look like he wants to be part of any rebuilding. I think their best option is to trade Smith for picks and get him the hell off this team. They can also make sure to sign FA, veteran WR's as well. I also think that if you have a special QB available to you at #1, you take him. If you're in a rebuilding process like Carolina is, you almost always need to switch QB's anyway. Matt Moore needs to be cut, and Jimmy Clausen could be a backup to Luck. |

I respectfully disagree. That offensive line looked as horrible in pass protection as some of those Detroit offensive lines of the early 2000s. They would be better off trading that #1 pick for a good LT and moving down in the first to pick an RT. |

How in the fuck did Jordan Gross make the Pro Bowl as a starter? |

...he should visit the coast. It's beautiful in the spring and early summer. Terrible with the humidity in August, though.

RE: If Andrew Luck goes to Carolina
With FA and the parody of this league, there is simply no such thing as a multi-year rebuilding phase.
It may take 3 years to build so that you're a long term competing team with depth, but a team can go from bad to decent in a year no prob. |

Most recent word is that Luck is most likely staying another year. We can count him out at Carolina.
