Have you ever seen ratatouille the movie? I'm a bit like the mouse from that, combine all sorts of crazy and produce all sorts of awesome.

If you're ever in London visit this restaurant http://veranda-london.com/ I work there, no I'm not head chef Anthony Cumberbatch, but I work with him and there's a lot of stuff the staff work on that we don't serve because it wouldn't sell unless we marketed our selves differently but it tastes great.

What I was saying about the left overs is the flavours in the meats like curry goat and jerk chicken are still very present if not more so when they are cold. Almost like with cured meats like smoked Applewood ham.

Not sure what sort of food you do at your restaurant? But if you do mains or special dishes and you have a few units left the following day you should put the meats into a sandwich as the special sandwich for the day.

E.g. I played 50 cents double when he came to England to film dead man running (there was an action scene with him in it where I did the work and he did the close up shots that got cut from the movie in the end) The catering company there did Jerk chicken for lunch sold like crazy but they had made too much. They got french baguettes, and roulet cheese, for green leaves they used rocket (arugula) stripped the chicken off the bones and used it in the sandwiches 50 cent and the other main actors came out of their trailers and bought the lot of them, yes it shows the doucheyness of them because that was food for the extras and crew but at the same time it was a pretty clever idea by the caterers.

I'm hungry now Confused

Ive never seen Ratatouille but now that you reminded me Ill have to remember to see it.
I got a kick out of the goat curry cause Ive never knowingly ran across goat meat
nor ever heard of people eating goat but maybe its more of the norm in London but Im sticking with its just bizarre instead. Im sure the sandwiches are delicious be hard locating the ingredients though.

The restaurant is an upscale quick service place serving pressed sandwiches, phillys, chargrilled burgers and salads using clean meats and fresh local produce.

Im suppose to go on a eurotrip summer of 2012 so I will def come and try out the specialties.

Something a little more simple.

Whole wheat bread with turkey and provolone. Toast it. Now throw on some freshly ground pepper and some spicy brown mustard. Very simple, but it tastes great. You can thicken it up with some lettuce, tomato, etc.

Yeah goat is a Caribbean thing. Really not keen on lamb instead its young goat. Very substantial difference between the two. Personally I enjoy both though.

There is a place near me I am going to write one of their recipes down. It is called Popeye's special, chicken Bacon spinach and this delicious sauce. It is great.

I have zero desire to try a piece of goat.

Chicken Bacon spinach sounds reasonable and delicious, maybe its a santa fe type sauce, that sounds like it would mesh well

I guess it is weird when you may never have considered it. My gf, didn't like the idea of it, she tried some and now I get grief if I do not make it regularly enough. Seriously though its more tender than lamb and a similar flavour. I wouldn't go around eating the old ones. I think growing up in a Caribbean family exposed me to many bizarre things to the eye. E.g. I told my gf's family I was gonna cook them baracuda they freaked when they found out its a potentially high toxic rather than poisonous fish. They eat pretty much anything including batteries and worse. I never buy fish like that from the retail end of the chain. When I want it I have to get up early as hell and go to Billingsgate Market, without being on the boat that us the freshest you can get it in the UK. You then got to wait and see which ones the flies pester, those are the ones you want because flies will not feed off of toxic or poisoned flesh, still got to move fast on them you don't want the flies actually settling on the fish just the hover alone tells you its fine. It's a good fish when cooked well. It has the texture of shark and the sweetness of lobster.

Word of advice ask what you are eating if you ever eat sausages in Barbados. Because they tend to be made from horse dick. I an thankfully NOT FROM BARBADOS.

RE: I need your favorite sandwich recipes
Here is an old time favorite of mine:

Ingredients: 2 slices of your choice of bread, Bologna, Cajun Turkey, Honey Ham, Cajun Roast Beef, Mustard, Bread and Butter Pickles, Your selection of cheese, Banana Peppers, and the awkward ingredient of mine...Ketchup. Yes, that's right, I said ketchup on my sammich. Don't knock it 'till you try it. Simply THE BEST SAMMICH EVAR! ok, not really, but still.

RE: I need your favorite sandwich recipes
If you don't feel like going to the Super Market to grab any fancy ingredients, then I have the sandwich for you!

Grab 2 slices of bread, your preference.
Cut the crusts off.
Spread Mayo on said slices of bread.
Sprinkle some black pepper onto the Mayo.
Grab some mild hot sauce, and generously sprinkle it onto the Mayo. (I prefer not spreading it into the Mayo, because I like it when some of the hot sauce trickles through the meat)

Now throw some lettuce, a tomatoe slice, cheese, and some kind of meat in between that bread and enjoy a nice, cheap and easy to make sandwich.

Also, if you're feeling a little daring, feel free to leave the crusts on and get some firey hot sauce for it.

I wont knock on your sandwich, but I will say this.

If you combine the B&B Pickles, Mayo and Ketchup, you
have basically created Thousand Island Dressing.

Good way to balance the bologna. Big Grin
