I'm sad for Keith Brooking(s)

RE: I'm sad for Keith Brooking(s)
I know Brooking went to East Coweta High School. I know he went to Georgia Tech. At his best he was a slightly above average linebacker. He is no longer at his best.

Brooking was a jerk, flapping his arms and taunting when the Cowboys beat us and I'll never forget it. That's why the Cowboys getting their butts handed to them by the Giants was so enjoyable and as was the look on Brooking's face.

Don't like the Cowboys and I don't like Brooking!

I love the Falcons and to hell with anyone who doesn't!

He was and is overrated.

Made lots of tackles down field.

Made very little impact plays.

I don't get people sticking up for this guy.

He was never a difference maker.

Last night he had an interception and I couldn't believe it.

Tirico brought up the stat that it was his first interception since 2005!!

Pathetic for someone that has had that many snaps in a 5 year period.

I know it does not reflect well on me - but "yes" it makes me happy that Keith Brooking and his team are doing poorly. I was never a big fan of his after his first few seasons because his game was more "hype" than substance. I thought the team not moving to retain Brooking was the right thing to do.

When Brooking showed himself a "poor winner" last year - that clinched it for me - it was "full bore" hate after that.......have fun in your fruitless season. Smile

Now there's a shocker.

Quote:Btw Keith was one of the few Cowboys to have a good game last night on defense. I guess watching him make tackles, almost recover a fumble and get an interception wasn't seen by some people. Rolleyes

Now that's what I find comical. He was getting knocked on his ass time after time including getting launched into the air by a pulling left guard as the RB ran right by for a big gain. I did see him make a few of his patented tackles 9 yards downfield. He also seemed to be trailing the play quite a bit regardless of which side of the field the play was on.

He did get an interception, looked just like my 5 year old daughter catching the little blooper.

But hey if you say he had a good game, so be it. I'm just glad he's no longer having those types of good games for us.

RE: I'm sad for Keith Brooking(s)
Keith Brooking was a "solid" player for the first 60% of his career here.

After that, he began a downhill slide that made him at times look like a senile old man ( see the Saints game when he tackled one of our players who was about to tackle Reggie Bush).

Since then Brooking has turned into this weird combination of Gomer Pyle and a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

When it comes to us... he's a complete prick.

They say you can always go back home, but when he's done out there he's better off moving there. Because it will be painful to watch his "home" city hoist the Lombardi on hopefully multiple occasions while he sits and ponders the end result of mocking us on live TV.

He had a chance to retire with grace after he played out his sunset years and come back to be a Falcons position coach, instead he chose to be an asshole. Payback is a bitch. Have fun following Wade Phillips to his next stop... the CFL.

Now I'm no Brooking fan but that's just off. Three years 6 million is hardly an asshole move. That's a good chunck of change just left to nothing if he hadn't moved on. Can't say I blame the guy given that a billionaire simply threw some cash at his washed up azz!

I'm not saying that he was a asshole for leaving. He was asshole for what he did when we played them. I'm all for go get your money. I don't think anybody begrudged him playing when he could not play here. I'm saying he could have done it with dignity and came back home and been a position coach after he does whatever it is that he does at Dallas...cheerleading...motivational speaking....etc. The coaching scenario is simply something that he implied that he wanted to do. Lord knows I don't want our future LBs being taught the fundamentals of Dogpile 101

How Bout them Cowboys?!?!?!

And the only game I wanted them to win they give up, o well, maybe we can stop talking about them now.

I liked Keith while he was here and was sad to see him go, even though I felt the organization had probably done the best thing for Keith and the Falcons by letting him go.

My feelings kind of changed when he showed how much he hated his former team last year and I find myself very unsympathetic to him now that the Cowgirls have stumbled out of the gate and are obviously going nowhere but down this year.

Get thee from me, Brooking, you insolent heathen. I never knew you...
