A lot of the love for Ryan has to do with his success during his rookie season, and how he helped this team get over the Vick situation so quickly. First year you had people comparing him to Peyton and Brady, but he hasn't shown much growth after that.

I think we are looking at an Eli Manning/Carson Palmer kind of player, not a special QB like the ones he was being compared to when he came in the league. People overreacted to his success as a rookie and that created some lofty expectations that have not been and might not be met, that's it.
