NO wants the SB to boost the profile of their 300th "birthday" because otherwise no one would care. The SB isn't going to give their tremendous marketing muscle to NO just because NO wants it. They use it to get new stadium deals now.

The NFL threw NO a bone because of Katrina. Don't expect the same gift horse to shit in your lap again anytime soon, so long as they can use the carrot of a SB to get new stadiums built.

Atlanta getting the SB in a new stadium on your precious 300th whatever would just be so much icing on the cake!
