I've seen some speculation that Owens is going to take Grimes starting place tomorrow, but I don't believe it for a second. I know how you feel about it, but do you have any knowledge whether that is true or not?

We're leaving the secondary in his hand, Sportsfreak? Isn't that kind of stupid for a guy that hasn't even started a game in the NFL? Shouldn't they let DeCoud make almost all the calls? Or is it that the coaching staff is confident enough in him that they trust him to make the calls?

Grimes is starting. That rumor was never true.

I agree! Coaches are not confident, based on the yelling I "heard" took place in practice this week, but in our system its the SS's job and if he wants the job he has to do all the work. Just pray for the kid. Kinda glad he is getting this shot because it will show the FO and the fans what he is made of. I just hope there arent mix ups that make other players look bad because he called the wrong checks.

Interesting. I think it's all apart of Moore eventually becoming our SS. He might as well take the lumps and see how he responds mentally from them. Or even better, not have any lumps and/or lapses in anything and do juuuust fine..

I honestly dont know, he didnt practice all week. I can probably ask 2moro or Monday about the Saints game possibilities.

I never believed it for a minute. Grimes has had a rough week in the press though, with that idiot Ledbetter putting in his columns that Grimes was at fault on that big run. I've watched the run like 20 times, and I think Peterson getting manhandled by that FB was the biggest problem.

Hard for me to believe that he could be ready for the Saints game in a week after missing 6 weeks of practice, even if he is ready to start practicing on Tuesday.
