RE: I don't really think the problem is Mike Mularkey
I just saw the stats in the link . I'm reading article now . I look at comeback wins and winning drives different . If a QB is playing a good sound game but losing and leads is team down for the go ahead score I give him more credit then when a QB is having a bad game all around and then leads team to winning drive I look at it different . I see in 6 out of 8 Ryan game winning drive games Ryan had a poor under 80 passer rating . A win is a win and any QB that can rack up wins is okay on my part but that should not be the sole defining stat how you judge a QB
![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 . - Added by Phocis because of this post. Warned here. Do not remove. |

(10-19-2010 02:22 PM)Swift Is a Die Hard Wrote: It opens the offense up .. I watch their offensive line yesterday and I watched Kolb. Sometimes he had time, and sometimes he had none at all. I've watched the Packers as well, Rodgers takes a lot of sacks, but he also has superior receiving options. Greg Jennings isn't as good as Roddy White, but I'd take Donald Driver all day over Michael Jenkins. Regardless, there is NO solution for an offensive line that giving up pressure to 3 and 4 man rushes like they're being all out blitzed. It hasn't been a case lately of teams loading the box and rushing 5 or more, it has been teams dropping off entirely and STILL getting a rush with just their down linemen. You can't go deep on that because you're asking for an interception and you aren't going to have time to set up the deep pass anyways. We've gone down field with mixed success this year. The full-house play-action deep pass was a thing of beauty, but when Ryan is getting hit more than 75% of the time on just the short/medium range throws, it is ridiculous to suggest that simply "going deep" is going to solve our problems. It starts with the offensive line. An offensive line that gets pushed back 1-2 yards on run plays and gives up consistent pressure against 3-4 man rushes is going to stall any offense, no matter who the OC, QB, or skill position players are. |
