Punt.

They had just given up a 90 yard TD drive. They were gassed.

And it showed.

RE: I believe in the Punt
And our offense really only moved the ball once all game. What's the point? Our D was the better side this game.

If our defense stops them and the saints punt then we would have had the ball on the 50 yard line with no timeouts and much less time. We were 7 yards away from the 50 when we punted.

Bad call I say

RE: I believe in the Punt
Never give drew brees the ball at the end of the game... never....

he has proven it over and over again.

Van Gorder had a great gameplan all night with the pressure, if we get a couple of sacks out of those blitzes earlier in the night, maybe a fumble to go along with those pics..... (ANYTHING)..... I think we win....

RE: I believe in the Punt
What's the point if we stop them on the 10 yard line and they punt or we take a chance on our own 43? I never get that call. We could've converted. We are 11/13 on 4th downs this year. And all we needed was a field goal.

We spotted them 14 points man. Our defense only gave up 10 points to the freakin saints. The todd mcclure fumble was a freak of nature. Those were the same kind of breaks that the Saints got last year. Turner fumbling in 400+ carries is crazy. Things were definitely going their way last night.

RE: I believe in the Punt
We currently only needed a FG. If we turned over on downs the Saints would need to move the ball about 10 yards to ice the game. Basically we would need a TD in order to win. With Bryant being a beast this year, it would be better to try and get to the 30 and then tie the game to go into OT.

Do you want Brees on our 40 or their 20?

That's all irrelevant because the Saints only needed 1 first down to ice the game either way.
