I am disappointed in Roddy and Smith over twitter-gate
Let me start by saying that I think Roddy is the most dominant player we have on our team. However, a number of incidents on and off the field is making me concerned about his focus and attitude. More importantly, I'm disappointed that Smith and TD did not put an end to this early on and let the thing propagate to other players.

Disciplined teams don't do this. We are the better team, we play at home and therefore we have the advantage. Stirring things up is not the smart thing to do in a situation like this.

I'm thinking word got out to both Roddy and Spoon to knock it off. It's been 23 hours since Roddy made a Saints related post and 16 since he said anything while Spoon only made the two posts. I think it's safe to say someone from the Falcons office got in their ears.

Here is Roddy's last tweet:

Yeah I think Roddy is a little on the immature side but he's learning. I have no doubt Smitty laid into his ass just like a true father figure should. Either that or Robiskie went and had a visit with his mother again!

I think once again, people are blowing things up into things that are much bigger than they actually are. Roddy is nearly 30 years old, not a 12 year old kid.

I think Roddy should have not taken this as far as he did. He complained about the AJC posting his tweets but - HELLO!!! When you TWEET you are posting to the WORLD!!! Every sports outlet got hold of this, not just the AJC. Also, I am really disappointed in Roddy's grammar skills. His tweets are some of the most illiterate 140 characters Ive ever seen. If you're going to Tweet at least try to look more educated.

I didn't mind the bravado.

The tweet about God giving NO the Super Bowl so the city wouldn't fall apart - I really wish he hadn't gone there.

i never thought to be disappointed about grammar on blogs, forums, tweets, fb, myspace, etc. As long as who you want to read it, gets it, then it's fine.

Well if God did give NO a Super Bowl, I doubt he is going to want to give one to Atlanta with Roddy being such a dick about it.

I prefer to believe that football teams win Super Bowls and they aren't given out by God.

If I believed that I wouldn't bother watching the games.

I did not agree with any of this Twitter War when it started. Players need to realize that Twitter is Public Media. Whatever you say there is going to get broadcast, just as if they were doing an ESPN interview. This is the kind of Image I would expect from the Vick-Era Falcons, but not this one. We are better than that.
