I am a long time lurker and sometimes poster at the " other' site. I'll try to be more involved here. Anyway, a thought just crossed my mind.

Our defense held a very solid offense to one score in the first quarter and then shut them down for the zero points thereafter. The special teams gimme aside, I think we are becoming a top 10 caliber D.

When have little miscues here and there but damn... we may actually be on our way to being one of those teams that opposing offenses hate to face.

I am still stuck on this year but if we can get one more pass rusher to hold it down with with Babs and Abraham...the future looks bright. Cool

Good 1st post.

I actually believe that Kroy is going to fit into the future more than Abe. Hopefully Sidbury can start showing that he can take over for Abe but, I have seen nothing from him this season.

Yep, I agree 100%. However, Kroy may be that person we are looking for in the pass rush. He has slowed a little bit.

I hope so but I could not help but feel a little jealous last night watching the Giants DESTROY the Bears. If we had just a little bit more pressure with some of the ballers we have now beyond the D-line... we could EASILY have a decade of dominance on our hands. I'm sure the FO will get it right. I remember I used to bitch about our secondary and it looks like that is coming together quite nicely...so far.

how many snaps has sidbury gotten this year so far? anyone know? i don't recall seeing him out there at all

The defense was fine yesterday, but I don't know that I would call the Niners offense "very solid". They have some very talented players, but they haven't put it all together by any means.

I agree with the put it together aspect. But for as well as our D played, they gave us a few fits. I hate to think of what happens if they get a QB in there that is worth something. They are not that far off.

Yeah, ti's pretty much Davis, Gore and to a lesser extent Crabtree. Alex Smith is garbage.
