Is he that stubborn or is he just a lazy ass? I think we can just sum him up as an arrogant bastige, when something don't work, you improve on it, or you try it in different ways. You don't keep pounding mindless, predictable, unimaginable, poorly called plays. Stubborn, lazy, it all can be summed up as arrogant! Dome Section 232! |

I don't think that we'd go out and bring in an OC midseason if mularkey was fired. We'd likely let musgrave take over as an interim and he would take mularkeys playbook, throw out what he doesn't like, throw in some stuff he does like and take it from there. In the offseason we could decide whether or not we want to keep running with musgrave or go in another direction.

If we do go west coast, at least we'll have a formation with the flexibility to bring a back out of the backfield and put us in an 11 personnel set. Especially if we use Norwood more in pass and rush formations. e.g. Turner and norwood as split backs is gonna keep a team wary of the run. Taking either out of the backfield could give us mismatches, Norwood more so. Still have turner in the back field the run is still on but likelihood is you've just increased our chances of success on the run (delay) by moving a defender away from the box.
It's far more complicated than this in practice. But the X and O's are there. |

The game has passed him by..... as in 1985. Why Dan Reeves cannot land a coaching job.
Mularkey was a disgrace as a head coach in Buffalo too. Quote:Athletes as role models and heroes is a hoax, a sick hoax. The men and women who are fighting in Iraq, they are the true heroes. |

Is he that stubborn or is he just a lazy ass? Good point. Short of a Jenkins/Douglas switch, Sunday had 10 of the 11 starters from last year. He knows exactly who he has and how to run an offense, and we got more of what didn't work from last year. With the amount of talent we have on offense, we should be able to move the ball better than we did on Sunday. |

I suppose I have seen too many teams get their wish and go from bad to worse but I can't say I am fine with the play calling either.
I know people keep bringing up Musgrave but other than being backup to some legendeary QB's and being the QB Coach to Brunell how is he qualified or better than any candidate out there? |
