2 people fired the same gun and they both missed... That should be a crime in itself right there. If you cant aim a gun - then you shouldnt own one.

I feel the same way. My family comes first all that other bullshit can take a backseat. This wasn't some random incident. Look at the facts of the case.

LOL @ call the police. To close off the murder scene that occurred while they were en route?

You're assuming this wasn't a life or death situation, I'm not saying it was or that I know the details, but to say you would have called and waited on the cops puts you in the category of coward if your family's life is on the line and you're worried about your next paycheck. You would let your sister die in the name of doing things by the book? Thats cowardice to me.

Read the police reports and check on Talibs past behavior. Talib needs some serious anger management courses.

- Attempts to pistolwhip sisters boyfriend. Gun falls on floor.
- Boyfriend picks up the gun and starts running.
- Mother (already a convicted felon apparently) pulls out a gun and starts shooting.
- Talib takes Mothers gun, and instead of sensibly putting it away realizing the danger has passed (that it would seem he started in the first place), continues firing.

I am really, really curious to know what started the entire thing. What could the boyfriend possibly have done to deserve getting pistolwhipped and shot at?

Now, if we want to go down your road and simply say fuck the police, lets look at it a way you would understand. If you are going to do something that locks you up, you might as well have finished the job knowing your sister is safe.

Maybe you read a different report. The one I read stated that the "victim" had already been removed from Talib's sisters house earlier in the day and had came back again. I didn't read about anybody running either, I did however read about a struggle ensuing, the "victim" obtaining the gun from Talib after a scuffle and THEN the mother opening fire him. The "victim" was also arrested as well. So let's cut the innocent victim crap out. He had allegedly had two other domestic violence issues with Talib's sister.

You said it best yourself.

"What could the boyfriend possibly have done to deserve getting pistolwhipped and shot at?"

Ask yourself that.

Um... Aqib and his mom had guns... like right then. Aqib was firing the gun at the guy while he was running off. Lets be honest: all the people involved are shitty people. But if the boyfriend had a gun, Aqib wouldn't have been charged. You also aren't allowed to just randomly fire at some guy escaping your property. For a number of reasons: (1) The guy is getting the hell out of dodge, and isn't a danger to you. (2) This is how dumb people pluck off innocent people on the street or in the neighbors home.

Luckily no one died, except Aqib's NFL career. (2 seasons, good job)
