It is hardly like we lost to every good team we played this year.

True enough, but with the exception of the Ravens game we looked flat whenever the national spotlight was on us...

You can't smoke every good team. We only played two national games outside of this play-off game, one was the Ravens win and the other was the Saints loss.

The Packers lost to good teams, the Steelers lost to good teams, the Patriots lost to good teams, the Jets lost to good teams.

Good/great teams win the game they're supposed to win and beat a few of the good teams as well. The Jets beat the Patriots the first time around, then the Patriots smoked them, and then the Jets turned around and beat them in the play-offs. Simply put, we had a bad game against a good team and that is all it was.

We don't have some magical fatal flaw, we wouldn't lose to the Packers 9/10 times we play them, we aren't doomed. It was a play-off game, but it was still just one game. All we can do now is sit back and be glad that the people we have in charge are good enough to keep taking us to the play-offs, because that 13-3 wasn't luck.

All true, and all things I didn't say.

I think the case can still be made that the Falcons aren't a team yet that plays consistently good football against the better teams on their schedule each year....Philly and the playoff game this year.....Dallas and New England last year....

I'm obviously not asking for wins in each of those games. I'm just asking that we don't necessarily shit the bed most of the time we have a big, nationally-spotlighted game.

And I'm saying we don't shit the bed every time. Evidence being this past year. I am also saying that no team playing consistently good football against other good/great teams.
