But because the Falcon name right now is more synanomous with offense than defense, people see our offensive struggles and declare us lucky.

Hell I know, people pissing and moaning about "winning ugly" if that is what they want to call it. It's better than losing pretty. Yea this team has a ways to go, but I'll take 4-1 and relatively healthy at this point of the season. Besides the record and the stats say otherwise and they got another big test next week on the road in Philly. Doubt the Falcons get any props after they beat the Eagles either

Falcons 24
Eagles 14

The Eagles won't score 14. Each week since the Saints we have allowed fewer and fewer points. 21-3 makes sense. They have no run game and if you take away the deep pass, our corners can do that now, Vick can't make the short passes.

I don't think Vick is playing

Kolb is more methodical

Jesus!!!!

c'mon now. I'm as big a Falcon homer as anyone but 21-3 Falcons....really???

Eagles just scored 27 on the road against Niner's stingy defense and did it easily - and yes, w/ Kevin Kolb.

Falcons can win but it won't be a blowout and will be hardfought. I say:

Falcons 23
Eagles 20

People keep pissing on Kolb but in games he has started and finished
2 wins
1 loss

76 Completions
116 Attempts
971 Yards
66.3 Completion %
5 Tds
3 Ints
99.03 QB Rating

Not that bad

I was listening to sports radio on the way home from work and the host of the show made an excellent point when talking about fans whining about teams winning ugly. He proposed this question... name 1 team who has won pretty this year? Name 1!? You can't!!!

Also on NFL Live just now when they were doing the Falcons, Browns highlights Trent Dilfer didn't say 1 single word. It made me chuckle. Only Wingo and Hodge had a running commentary. Must have been too busy eating crow to even get a word in.

Oh I agree, I told my dad yesterday, this is the first year I can remember where there are no great teams and only a couple of terrible ones

I still say this game will be a duplicate of the Browns Game.

Falcons: 20
Eagles: 10

Trent Dilfer is a tool. I heard him slam the Falcons on the Cowherd show. He says we're a 10-6 or 9-7 team at best. He said we got luck in Nawlins and that's not a legitimate win. He's right about getting lucky but it happens and if it were the other way around and we missed that kick and the Ain'ts won he would be singing their praises. He totally glossed over the fact that we dominated that game in time of possesion and moved the ball at ease we just didn't capitalize on some scoring opportunities.

This guy wins a Superbowl on a team that could've won without a QB probably because their D was so good and he's instantly credible? Give me a break.

I'm sick and tired of hearing that the 49ers and Saints should have won. They had a chance to win the game and they couldn't pull the trigger. We did though. And today we went on the road and played a team that is much better than their record and we physically beat the crap out of them. When the Falcons left that stadium with a W the Browns were limping of the field. Literally.

Our defense seems to have a killer instinct these days and have dominated other teams yet our fans are grumbling that we aren't scoring more points when we WIN. Good god someone shoot me.

AMEN!!!!! This is the fuckin' NFL not Pee-Wee League. Blowouts are usually few every weekend.
