Its easier to play IN position when your middle takes up blocks and thats real talk.Look at the LB's position at the start of the play. Pitts = 3 guys charging the middle Cards = played left side only Both those runs, LB's were out of position. It had nothing to do with the DT's. You have to AT LEAST agree on the fact that the blame is put on the LB's positioning.

You know, it was just two plays where the Falcons got badly outplayed. Good thing the Falcons outplayed the Cardinals on virtually every other play of the game. |

Any LB or DT for that matter will tell you that it DOES start up front. EVERYONE in the front seven was blocked both times. They were stopping multiple defenders both times. You need that reversed to two blocks for at least one down lineman. That free's up the linebackers. (09-20-2010 02:20 PM)Peyton Wrote: I will say this. Takes me back to when Tony Siragusa retired and Lewis looked like he had lost a step and his ability. |

RE: Great Game, Learned Alot
On the big play, Moore was really the only one in position to make the play. I was cussing him at first but he probably did the right thing by turning it back inside. IIRC, Grimes was in their too and got manhandled.

I am still confused at how easily it is ignored that the DT's are almost like OL but for the LB's...(???) |
