GREAT Interview with Jason Snelling on ESPN First Take
Not sure if anyone caught it today, but they definitely took a good chunk of time talking to him. Summary from my memory:

Very humble kid, basically talked about always preparing as if you were the starter and being ready when an opportunity presents itself.

Talked about his nickname Snell Bells, and how it just came about because it rhymed. Says his teammates call him Boobie from the character Boobie Miles in Friday Night Lights. My personal nickname for him is Snell Snell.

Talked about his anthropology degree that he got while attending UVA. His focus while there was on forensic anthropology, and when asked what he would like to do after he is done with football claimed he would like to get into real forensic work like the stuff of CSI, etc.

Spent a good couple of minutes talking about the epilepsy he suffers from. I personally didn't know that Snelling suffered from epilepsy. For those who don't know what epilepsy is, it is is a common chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent unprovoked seizures. He said he just works with doctors to keep it under control and usually does a good job with it, but definitely cool to bring awareness to something that could definitely kill you.

Overall GREAT interview from ESPN First Take. One of the better ones I've seen in quite some time.

Yeah, I already knew about Snelling's epilepsy the day he got drafted.

"TOUCHDOWN! MY GOD, A TOUCHDOWN! WE THREW IT TO HAYNES! WE JUST STUFFED THEM WITH FIVE SECONDS LEFT! MY GOD ALMIGHTY, DID YOU SEE WHAT HE DID? DAVID GREENE JUST STRAIGHTENED UP AND WE SNUCK THE FULLBACK OVER! … WE JUST STEPPED ON THEIR FACE WITH A HOBNAILED BOOT AND BROKE THEIR NOSE! WE JUST CRUSHED THEIR FACE!" - Larry Munson broadcast UGA vs Tenn, 2001

Rest In Peace, Larry. You will be missed.

I loved the end of the interview when she hinted that he was starting running back material. Honestly, at this point, I know he only ran like that for one week. But he's always been there, and he's always ready to perform well for us if his numbers called, they need to re-work his contract before it even gets close to him being a free agent. Because if he becomes a free agent and we still have Michael Turner getting the call on majority of plays, then we will lose Snelling, and I don't think we can afford to lose as good a running back as Snelling.

Nah, I'd rather that didn't happen.

They way we turn on our own if he doesn't live up to expectations, I'd rather spare him the ordeal.

I am not turning on Turner. He's a great back, It's just Snelling had a career day so he's got the hot hand(so to speak). I really love both are RB's(no homo).

Another thing that might need to be realized by all of us, myself included, is that it's harder to gameplan for a running back that you're not sure how often he will actually be in the game. I think he's better suited for the backup role, but he could definitely start. He's got the size and stature to do so.

Think about how hard it's going to be for opposing defenses when Turner or Snelling is in the backfield. This lineup of Turner/Snelling (which is what I wanted to see instead of Turner/Norwood) is going to open up the passing game more.

Yeah, I really didn't think it through. You're right.

It really doesn't matter who starts since they're both going to be running the ball. We can have another 1000-1000 yard tandem in Atlanta!
