And as for the ref. He was terrible. BUT, I wonder if it was the same ref that negated the Sproles TD because of the early block that Jimmy Graham did. In any case, I'll take a negated TD over any other penalty any day of the week.

Are you saying the negated Sproles TD was a bad call? Because that was spot on.

Weatherspoon wasn't behind the line of scrimmage so blocking that far down the field before the pass completed is pass interference.

Yes, it was spot on, I agree. But, if were were Saints fans, then we'd think differently about it.

Some of us, yea.

But I can admit when a call is wrong or right.

LOL, ok, whatever.

Seems like ANYTHING I say here nowadays, you chime in with a contradiction.

That play on the Sproles TD was absolutely the correct and obvious call. I was listening to Wes and Archer on the radio and they BOTH called out the O lineman blocking 3 or 4 yards past the line even before the play was over and the penalty was announced. It was that obvious.

It was horrible play calling on the offensive side. We missed converting 6 straight 3rd downs. The last 4 missed conversions were virtually identical. Run Turner on 1st down and then a screen to Snelling on 3rd and 8.

Roddy got as many targets tonight as Snelling.

Turner, Snelling, and Douglas got as many touches/targets as Julio, Roddy, Gonzo, and Quizz.

If you don't see a problem with that, then please don't comment.

RE: Fuck YEAH!
Not only did we win the game, here are some other great things about this game:

Beat the hated aints in our house, ending their consecutive win streak over us
ended breesus consecutive games with a TD
gave him yet another personal record, first time he's ever thrown 5 INTS in a game
put him in the lead in another NFL category, he now leads the league in INTS with 16
pretty much ended their playoff hopes, I doubt there's very many people in the whole freaking state of LA that can figure 'mathematically still alive' odds
one more thing, we get to continue on with congratulating curtis softon on his 'I wanted to play with a winning team' mindset and comments
got to see first hand AGAIN why we let him go, he's NOT a 3 down linebacker, can you say TOUCHDOWN, TG

am I missing anything?

Just re-watch that offsides penalty they called on Abe on the Peters interception. Abe didn't fucking move before the snap and he clearly lined up on our side of the line. That was an absolute bullshit made up penalty. That fucking ref should be investigated and fired.

BTW, Brees passing TD record comes to an end.

Abe did flinch just before the ball is snapped but he didn't move his feet at all......

While we can rub it in Lofton's face and I hate the game he is playing on the war of words....he is a good linebacker....he would have done well in our defense but the truth is we couldn't afford to pay him the big money.....If he wanted to play for a winner he would have taken less and stayed (ABE DID just that!) So I disagree he isn't a three down guy.....

You missed played most of game without starting CB (Samuel went out on their first offensive play) Owens did a great job as did McClain.....

Decoud moves into second for INTs on the Season (Moore jumps into his old spot)

Turner became the all time TD leader for Falcons surpassing Mathis.

TG got 10 seasons with 70 or more receptions and is less than 250 from a 1000 yard Season.....

I will post more if I can think of them.....there were lots of highlights....especially for how off our offense was after the 1st quarter

Despite the teams success, I have some issues with Koetter's playcalling. I am a big fan of the playbook itself, but the playcalling is leaving something to be desired. I also don't see him adapting as the game goes on. It seems we start out fast, the other team adapts, begins to stop what we're doing, and we just keep doing it.

Now in his defense, from my understanding of tonight's game, as I was unable to watch due to a business obligation, that was not the case. The Falcons just ran the ball down their throats the first two possessions by using Johnson as an extra TE, then the team stopped doing what was working. Maybe trying to keep changing things up was the game plan, but it seems to me if you're dominating someone in one way, you would just keep it up.

As I understand it, we had no offensive success from then up until switching to a no huddle in the fourth quarter.

This all goes back to my point. I like the plays he has drawn up, but I'm still not fully convinced about his calling of the ball game.

All that being said. FUCK YEAH!!!
