Which is really just a way of explaining how/where they line up vs. an offensive line. ok so taking that bold part, who is available in FA, provided there is FA that is a good 5 technique guy we'd want to consider, Edwards ok, Babin i've heard of, anyone else? and the why? based purely on sacks? how much weight do we want to put on other stats? pressures, hurries....not sure i completely 'see' the difference there either. but my point is i've heard tv guy after tv guy and read articles where Kroy got a lot of pressures, hurries, disruptions, etc. But I know from watching the games, he just couldn't get the QB on the ground, why? did he run through his pursuit? was it just poor tackling? there has to be SOMETHING to say 'if he works on this or that' the sack number goes up? for swift, which DE's in the draft could we have gotten that would really have fit in our scheme, helped, and why? Chew on THAT, Petunia!
