If we get Fitz and a RB with speed that can catch... We will have to get a OC that can design plays that will confuse the defense we will have so many weapons we will need to evolve the offense... Do you think people who own a lamborghini drive to the conventional road rules... HELL NO I wouldn't cause if you don't open it up whats the point of owning it?? He didn't do OK, he coordinated an offense that had a medicore offensive line, a crap QB(Tommy Maddox), and a broken down Bus and garbage at RB. 8th in scoring, 5th in yards. |

Now that Swift has shoveled some bullshit... as usual, let me tell what actually happened. Mularkey coached in Buffalo, not much success, and resigned when him and the management had a disagreement on how the organization was ran and the direction it was going. Not the first time the Bills FO got into it with a coach, just look at how well they've been since he left. He went to be OC in Miami under Nick Saban. The starting QB and Ronnie Brown went out, so naturally their offense sucked for the year. Saban jumped ship, Cam Cameron from San Diego came in. Since he was hired based on the production of his offense in San Diego, he came in and installed his own offense and ran it himself, so naturally Mularkey couldn't be the OC any more. After their wonderful 1-15 season, the Dolphins organization dumped the entire coaching staff and he was hired by us. Since then, we've gone from 29th in scoring to 10th, 13th, and now 5th. Clearly, Mularkey doesn't know how to run an offense... but please go ask Baltimore how well those boots to the left work.

Larry Fitzgerald is 27 years old and has averaged 1200+ yardage and 10 TD's per year for the last 4 years and if someone doesn't think he would not improve the Falcons passing game needs to inhale and think. I thought Larry was older than that. That adds to the reasons to bring him in even more, he's younger than Roddy and Jenkins both and only a year older than HD. This would be more Abe and less Gonzo, picking up a great player in the prime of his career. 1st and a 3rd. Throw in a player or 2 if need be. But get this done. PLEASE. Yeah, to come in and do that well is impressive no matter how you slice. 13th in total points with your only good RB missing half the year, your QB missing multiple games and being hobbled in others, your #2 WR missing multiple games, 4/5 of the entire line missing at least one game, your #2 RB going out, and your #3 WR going out for the year as well. This against a schedule that included a 4th week bye, facing an NFL record 4 teams off their bye, against already one of the most difficult schedules I have ever seen in terms of quality of opponent's and defenses we faced. But yeah, keep fapping off to the likes of Eli Manning. |

RE: Fitz available for trade
If Fitzgerald becomes available and we don't make a serious effort I will be sorely disappointed. TD said he wanted more explosive playmakers, well you aren't going to find a better one, and a class guy. More than that, I think he's a difference maker. Roddy + Fitzgerald with both of them buying in (i.e. no prima donnas) is just plain sick, I believe it would have the potential to totally transform our offense (Mularkey willing of course lol). As someone else said, we would instantly have the best WR tandem in the league. We certainly didn't have anything close to that this year.

RE: Fitz available for trade
Following a bad season, there is always speculation for any team to blow up their previously successful core and start over. Even with no collective bargaining agreement and a myriad of uncertainty about next season, the trade talks persist. In this case, with regard to Cardinals’ Pro Bowl wideout Larry Fitzgerald.
NESN.com reported that Arizona would consider moving Fitzgerald for “the right price.” Presumably for a multitude of draft picks. Current NFL players cannot be traded until a new CBA is agreed upon. With Arizona’s bleak quarterback situation and upgrades needed on both sides of the ball, it is easy to conjure trade projections for a player of Fitzgerald’s caliber. However, the recent trade rumor probably has less merit than commissioner Roger Goodell’s $1 salary claim (can we get a pay stub with that promise). First, consider the source, NESN (Northeast Sports Network) covers the New England Patriots, a team with 4 picks in the first two rounds of this April’s draft and no true “go-to” receiver on the roster. A package involving these picks in exchange for Fitzgerald would make sense in theory, but only if the Cards could be in a position to add a quarterback who can help them right away and a capable replacement for Fitzgerald. The seven-year veteran is on the back end of his latest contract extension and is looking for a new one. Fitzgerald has also stated he is not interested in sticking around for another rebuilding period. Add all of these together and a paranoid fan could easily see No. 11 easily leaving the desert, especially given Arizona’s sordid past with extending contracts. However, rarely has the franchise seen a player of Fitzgerald’s talent; an unheard of mix of size, speed, hands, route-running and desire. He has become one of the most popular athletes the city has ever had and should not be discarded unless absolutely necessary. With the NFL’s situation in the state it is, player movement will be almost impossible to predict - even if a new CBA is in place in the near future. In any case, Fitzgerald’s name may be a juicy one to mention in trade talks, but after the season the Redbirds just had, they need all the talent they can get. That mission starts with holding on to the team’s best player, something Arizona will almost certainly do. ![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . RE: Fitz available for trade
It would take at least two 1st round picks.
I'd do it, honestly. He is a known commodity. No draft pick ever is. |
