Fitz available for trade
New England Sports Net's Jeff Howe reports the Cardinals could make Larry Fitzgerald available in trade "for the right price."
The Cardinals aren't trying to "actively unload" Fitz, and Howe freely admits his sources don't know if the team has had any "legitimate" discussions about trading their star receiver. We suspect any team wishing to acquire Fitz would have to blow Arizona's socks off with a package of early-round draft picks and a viable starting quarterback. Fitzgerald's contract is up after next season. He's made it clear that he doesn't want to stick around if the Cardinals aren't going to be a serious contender.

Would a 1st, Redman and a 4th do it... If they still play 3-4 give them JA98 (would be good in a 3-4)

Id say a 1st/2nd and a + JPW and Bierman might get it done

I don't want to give up a whole draft for a guy when we have a guy who is better than him at the same position already.

Pros

- we get a bona fide play maker opposite Roddy and one of best wr tandems in league
- great on field character type player
- draft picks we send always come with a risk and we get the more certain thing
-clutch player that help carry team in playoffs

Cons

- giving up draft picks
- signing to a extension contract wouldnt make sense to rent
-Mularkey will be clueless how to use him

i'm about to get flamed. I'll start off with saying yesterday my wife asked me which jersey i wanted from TJMAXX (they have the replica's for 20 bucks). I took the Roddy White 84 black throwback.

that said, if Fitz had any kind of QB at AZ this year, would Roddy have had better numbers? I'm not knocking Roddy, but if we had anyone who would be a legit target opposite of Roddy, and Fitz had a QB, who would have had the better numbers? Ok a lot of "IFs" in that and i know how the season turned out.

I wouldn't want to give away half the draft either, but a pick (or two) and a player, to put Fitz on one side and Roddy on the other? are you kiddin me? heck yeah i'd make that trade (not my first round tho)

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

So YOU know how they can be one of the best wr tandems in the league, but MM, the actual guy who's a professional OC, he wouldn't.

Just amazing.

No... Mularkey has no idea how to use two star WRs in an offense.

Mike Mularkey - OC for the Steelers from 01 to 03.

Thats true Ariz doesn't have much leverage because he can opt out so if we show interest in him he may just want to come to us if a deal isn't made..

Not like the Boldin situation where he wanted to go but couldn't until he hit FA because Ariz did not think they were getting enough...
