Falcons to honor Gonzalez

After catching pass No. 1,000 of his career during Week One, Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez will be honored by the team at its home opener Sunday.

Gonzalez, the first tight end in league history to reach the historic mark, will be recognized with a pregame ceremony with Falcons management, while a career highlight video will be shown on the Georgia Dome video board. The team will also mark down the price of Gonzalez's No. 88 jersey by 50 percent at its team store and Web site through Sunday, and it will feature a photo of the player on the cover of the team program.

The day of the game, Sept. 19, has also been declared "Tony Gonzalez Day" at the Dome.

Its my first "regular Season" game! im pretty pump upp for this Sunday.
I've been to the game once but it was a preseason game against the Colts in 2008. Eversince i felt in love with the team.

One thing I will say about Gonzo is the guy always cracks me up when he starts to run with the ball, always running like he has shit his pants or something lol not that it is a bad thing coz he still puts moves in to dodge defenders and I love having the guy on our team it just cracks me up
