noel devine as kick off returner
Kick-offs feature full speed collisions which lead to concussions and cause spectators to cheer much too loudly so this year the NFL has moved kick-offs to the 35 yard line. This should lead to more touchbacks, but hey, neurosurgeons have to eat too, so the rule was moderated in two ways. The coverage teams have been slowed by making them line up on the 30 and their running start will be 5 yds instead of 10. The return teams will be allowed to use a two man wedge. Rumor has it that some teams will try to make it like a punt, skying the kick and trying to hold the return inside the 20.

While Weems seemed an improved returner last year I am intrigued by the possibility of Noel Divine as a kick returner. In the old 'Flying Wedge' play blockers would even link their arms.

It's the Eagles in Week 2. A minute ago #7 hopped across the goal line to give the Eagles a 3 point lead with 30 seconds left. Sadly, he hopped because one of his legs remained in #98's arms in the backfield. He's on his way to Grady in two separate ambulances. The PAT is good and their kickoff is coming down in the Falcon end zone. Kroy and Coy link their arms and thunder toward the coverage with Noel totin' and peeking around their knees and hollerin', "GEE" and "HAW" to steer them towards a crease. Will he break left? Will he break right? "GET UP" he hollers, the wedge splits apart and here comes Devine up the middle in 4.3 gear, smokin'! Touchdown!

They shouldn't have kept calling him "Shawty" and "Pit Boss" at the Eagles Camp.

It's a 53 man roster, only 45 can dress. There's no room for him.

True. And as a returner he'd only last until that first hard hit, but even with Weems I'n interested if anyone will capitalize on the new 2 man wedge rule and puts in some plays for it.

RE: noel devine as kick off returner
ohhh i like stories like this, so he gets tackled on the 50, but on the last play of the game, MT33 takes the snap, tosses to our one armed QB who launches the bomb toward the endzone, and Quizz Rodgers is there to take pass deflected back to him at the 3 and duck under everyone for the winning score!!!!!

YAYYYYYYY Falcons Win, drive home safely!

sigh,

i love stories like this

where is Jedi anyway?

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

Don't want a guy who walks out on a team that brought him in. Not a player we want on this team. NEXT!
