Falcons bottleneck

RE: bottleneck
Gonzalez is not the player he once was......but washed up? I don't think so.

Gonz will probably retire after this season. In the mean tiime, he will continue to be a first down machine. And while he is converting third downs with defenders draped all over him, Jones will continue to learn the art of his craft. By 2012, JJ will be ready to step into the lime light and Gonz will be ready to begin the countdown to Canton.

RE: bottleneck
Where did this rant come from? Washed up? Maybe Roddy is washed up because he didn't catch a pass yesterday??? In the words of Chris Berman... "COME ON MAN!!!!"

RE: bottleneck
It always causes stuff when talking about washed up players.

Deion was washed up when he signed with the Redskins.

ggp is right,...Gonzales will be the third down man and down around the endzone.

I wonder if this will be his last season in the NFL after we go 9-7 and go on to win the SB?

Phocis,...that was no rant but an opinion piece. If we can't have opinions,...

You were clearly ranting (my opinion Tongue ).

It's your opinion that TG is washed up, yet you have zero legs to stand on. Show us facts about how you came to this conclusion. What, you heard recently this is his last season? That doesn't make him washed up. Guy has still be a huge part of our offense since he's been here.

And it's been working pretty well.

Dude, I'd like to know what you're smoking. I definitely want some!

Gonzalez washed up? Definitely not. The dude is practically over the hill in football age, and guess what, he is still inside the top 7 tight ends in the entire league. That is astonishing.
