The Atlanta Falcons have the best record in the NFC with an 8-2 record after beating the St. Louis Rams 34-17 on Sunday.

Even with the best record in the NFC, it seems as if there name does not come up in conversations concerning the best team in the NFC.

Every week, it has been a flavor of the week when the media is discussing which team is the best in the NFC, but the Falcons name seems to never come up.

One week it is the NY Giants, the next week it is the Philadelphia Eagles or the Green Bay Packers, all of which have less wins then the Falcons do.

The Falcons may not be flashy or win games with numerous big plays, but the bottom line is that they are winning and have the best record in the conference.

Without doubt, they should be in every discussion concerning the best team in the NFC.

The Falcons are the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL, they get no respect.

I'm glad they don't talk good about us, so they won't talk bad about us. Hearing them talk about "are the Pats done?" last week and "are the Steelers done?" this week was even more annoying than their usual praise

I'm still pissed that our highlight (7-2 vs. 4-5) ran after both DAL vs. DET and BUF vs. CIN. If we can somehow get to a Chargers/Packers/Ravens level of popularity/respect then I'll be happy. Those are teams that aren't too overhyped or blown out of proportion like NYJ, NE, DAL, Indy, and PIT.
