1. Dont like this team coming off bye weeks, having too much rest.

2. Playing a winless team on the road that is desperate for a Win.

+

3. Playing the Saints the week after this one.

1. Falcons are 2-1 coming off a bye week under Coach Smith. Their loss occurred in Ryan's rookie season to an Eagles team who made it to the NFC Championship game. The 2011 Colts are not remotely that team.

2. At 4-3 and with a chance to move into second place in their division as well as up a spot in the Wild Card standings, I would say the Falcons have tons more motivation to win this week than the 0-8 Colts do.

3. Pretty sure you have no clue what the term "twofold" means, let alone how to correctly spell it. I'm recalling the words of another deep thinker at the moment: "I have two weapons - my legs, my arm and my brain."

(11-02-2011 08:53 PM)The Falcon Jedi Wrote:  Easy game to overlook, focusing on hosting the Saints in the Dome. Vacation, relaxation time. Kind of like a 2nd bye week in a row.... No. The Colts should not be overlooked or taken lightly. And Im not saying the Falcons feel like they are getting a 2 week vacation, but a lot of players on a lot of teams might consider that to be the case. We'll see

Scary seeing what the Rams did to the Saints. Epic Upsets are happening this season. Its a very strange NFL season. Nothing is happening as anyone expected. Logic is almost thrown out the window. We're in quantum physics territory now, and Einsteins laws arent applying.

So, basically, because anything at all can happen in the NFL on any given Sunday, the Falcons are likely to lose this game? That's really powerful analysis.

The 2011 Carolina Panthers say hello.

(11-02-2011 09:13 PM)The Falcon Jedi Wrote:  We're not going to put up 62 points against the Colts. We're going to put up maybe 28 points.

And that would be plenty. The Colts have yet to eclipse 24 points all season. And they've only scored more than 19 twice.

(11-02-2011 09:13 PM)The Falcon Jedi Wrote:  Question is can our defense hold a 20+ point lead for 4 Quarters. Other question is what if the Colts score first? Will we abandon Turner like we usually do if we get behind 7-0?

Julio coming back worries me a little, only because he isnt going to be full-speed and we may try to force the ball to him too much, esp. if we get behind early. And if we get caught in that trap we will be in trouble and Freeney will have a field day keying on Ryan all game.

Many factors, a lot of intangibles i see affecting this game.

What if Curtis Painter suddenly becomes a competent QB? What if the Colts' O-line suddenly starts run and pass blocking for the first time all season? What if their defense suddenly starts shutting down the run after being bottom of the league in rushing D for the last decade? What if Jim Caldwell shows up with a gameplan and makes shrewd adjustments throughout the game for the first time in his coaching career? What if...

Anyway, we can play this silly game all day long. None of it constitutes evidence that the Colts have a puncher's chance of beating the Falcons. Try watching football every once in a while.

Right. Because reading 1 substantive post and 99 chicken little the sky is falling this team will lose and so and so sucks is acceptable and something we all enjoy being spammed with every week.

Stop fueling that nonsense and you won't get lumped in with statements you find insulting.

The problem with AMFB is they have 50+ people just like Jedi and that place is total shit. Luckily we only have a few. But if folks like you keep sounding off and patting the guy on the back like it's acceptable, then you're just going to cause grief for the moderators and devalue this place.

Jedi is nothing like the fools on AFMB, he's been a fixture on the boards for years. He's got an offbeat sense of humor. Every injury no matter how minor is a career ender. It's his schtick. he loves this team, he's not anywhere on the level of fools like Phalcon Phil, or pessimists like Swift.

He's absolutely at their level many times. He's one of the most drama filled posters you'll ever see, anywhere, and there's no one in the world who would deny that. He's absolutely an attention whore, and he IS one of the fools on AFMB.

Fixture or not, doesn't mean he's not what he is. Every thing is massive scale, he's like a 10 year old kid with no filter, and no sense of reality. So is he a flat out troll, no, but he's still obnoxious. He's been on my ignore list for years.

You still didn't actually answer my question, which makes me think you're full of shit.

I'll simplify it for you with proper jargon to give you a chance. Did you bet a straight bet or a money line wager?

Did you do a straight bet taking the Rams at -13.5?

Or did you do a money line simply taking the Rams to win outright? But if so, what were the lines?

I hope you're not saying I'm apart of those people who make AFMB total shit, maybe I'm reading too much into your post. Jedi isn't like Swift or Phalcon Phil because I don't think Jedi actually believes 80 percent of the stuff he says. When a player misses a practice because of a hangnail and Jedi professes that his career is over, that to me is freaking hilarious (especially when people take it seriously and attempt to argue his fallacious points). He's the Stephen Colbert of the message board, and I respect that wholeheartedly. I genuinely believe he loves this team as much as the next guy who posts here, so I find his presence far from spamming or "shit". He's a very good troll (and I mean that in the best way possible Jedi), and seeing the literal internet macho men take it to heart IMO is fucking hilarious.

Yes, because only reasonable people get banned from AFMB, especially ones considered fixtures who are simply misunderstood.

and just in case you were wondering, I think Atlanta will beat Indianapolis in the most embarrassing way possible. If we win this game in single digits, it will feel like a loss to me.
