his reasoning is that since the winless rams beat the taints last week, the winless colts will beat the Falcons this week. that win last week gave hope to all the losing teams throughout the league.

my only problem with that line of reasoning really is that for YEARS we've heard the ole 'any given sunday' statement, so that takes your thoughtline out of play.

I will say that there have been a few games the dolts have looked promising, i actually thought they were gonna win against the stealers. but looking at the total disarray that team is in, i just can't see them winning against any top tier team. and yes, i consider us a top tier team. Freeney was held in check against the taints, and we'll double him or something and take him out of the game. I'm more worried about our pass defense. I don't think they give up enough to lose the game, but i don't think i'll be comfortable throughout the game either

No Papa, im not banned over there.

Fun times. Its a Win - Win for me either way.

I want the Falcons to win. I will be happier than a lark if we do.

But there are a couple of things I see that say we wont. And if we dont, then I will get paid. So it will be bittersweet for me.

Svitek starting erases one of my analysis marks against Atlanta. We have a better chance now with Baker out.

Still have some marks that I have questions about. Oh well.... we'll see

Another problem I have is 2 fold:

1. Dont like this team coming off bye weeks, having too much rest.

+

2. Playing a winless team on the road that is desperate for a Win.

+

3. Playing the Saints the week after this one.

Easy game to overlook, focusing on hosting the Saints in the Dome. Vacation, relaxation time. Kind of like a 2nd bye week in a row.... No. The Colts should not be overlooked or taken lightly. And Im not saying the Falcons feel like they are getting a 2 week vacation, but a lot of players on a lot of teams might consider that to be the case. We'll see

Scary seeing what the Rams did to the Saints. Epic Upsets are happening this season. Its a very strange NFL season. Nothing is happening as anyone expected. Logic is almost thrown out the window. We're in quantum physics territory now, and Einsteins laws arent applying.

The other thing is, we dont have a team that can blow any team out. We dont score that many points with the way we run our offense. Our wins are never by more than 10 points or less. We tend to keep bad teams in games til the end (seattle).

We're not going to put up 62 points against the Colts. We're going to put up maybe 28 points. Question is can our defense hold a 20+ point lead for 4 Quarters. Other question is what if the Colts score first? Will we abandon Turner like we usually do if we get behind 7-0?

Julio coming back worries me a little, only because he isnt going to be full-speed and we may try to force the ball to him too much, esp. if we get behind early. And if we get caught in that trap we will be in trouble and Freeney will have a field day keying on Ryan all game.

Many factors, a lot of intangibles i see affecting this game.

Because predicting that the team you claim to be a fan of loses to an 0-8 team who ranks 30th in yards/game(294.9), 30th in points/game(15.1), 31st in opposing teams yards/game(402.9), and 32nd in opposing teams points/game(31.5) is fucking ultra substantive and realistic, and in no way could be or should be misconstrued as attention seeking.

And Lord knows everybody just loves seeing half a dozen seperate new gameday knee-jerk Falcon bashing threads (suprisingly down from what use to be a dozen+) followed up by two or three "I told ya so" additional Falcon bashing threads after getting the extremely improbable and overwhelmingly incredulous 50/50 "prediction" correct.

He's a real asset to retarded bi-polar glass is empty mommy/daddy didn't give me enough attention I need reassurance I'm alive and matter fans everywhere.

I bet 750 dollars on the Rams beating the Saints last week. Im used to being called a moron.

Jedi got a point, We overlooked the Tampa game and look where it gotten us.

Now, after the bye week, our players all rested up, going up in Indiana against a completely desperate Colts, and Saints visiting 2 week from now. Its all pointing to a trap game.

Yes they do have a winless record, but they also have 2 very dangerous DEs in Freeney and Mathis. If we fall behind early and couldnt establish our running game, this could very well be the Bear all over again.

We need to be very focus preparing for this game. Going in there and control the temple of the game, get Turner going, protect Matt Ryan and give him time in the pocket. Defensively just do what we have been doing. Tighten up the coverage and force turn over.

If we can do that, Falcons: 38- Colts: 17.

GOOO FALCONS!

The ONLY part of that I believe is the "moron" part.

So who actually took that bet from you and at what odds? Over the course of the week, the Rams went from -9.5 to -14. What did you get? I mean did you play to cover? Or over/under? Any teasers? Or was it just straight up for the win at odds?

I'd like to know how much of an imbicile your bookie is, how much money you allegedly made on a bet like this, and if you're just totally full of shit.

Im not going to post my financial gain on a message board, but the line i bet on was at -13.5. I will say I made a couple or more grand.

So put that in your pipe and toke on it Big Grin
