i see jedi is still banned from the other board. LMAO

his reasoning is that since the winless rams beat the taints last week, the winless colts will beat the Falcons this week. that win last week gave hope to all the losing teams throughout the league.

my only problem with that line of reasoning really is that for YEARS we've heard the ole 'any given sunday' statement, so that takes your thoughtline out of play.

I will say that there have been a few games the dolts have looked promising, i actually thought they were gonna win against the stealers. but looking at the total disarray that team is in, i just can't see them winning against any top tier team. and yes, i consider us a top tier team. Freeney was held in check against the taints, and we'll double him or something and take him out of the game. I'm more worried about our pass defense. I don't think they give up enough to lose the game, but i don't think i'll be comfortable throughout the game either

I keep hearing trap games this, trap games that... but it seems people forget this little tidbit of information. Under Mike Smith, we haven't fallen in a "trap game." This isn't the "same ole Falcons," no matter how much people keep wanting to think that. We haven't been perfect, but we're not losing to bad teams and showing any signs of a poorly coached team.

Cooper is right, and Jedi is wrong about this one, not that it's not possible, but the fact is the Mike Smith/Matt Ryan Falcons don't lose to bad teams, they lose to good/elite teams. We've never lost to a team that ended with a losing season. we've come close a few times and we've lost to our share of 8-8 teams.

The worst teams record-wise we've lost to are the 08 Broncos, and Ain'ts, the 09 Panties and Giants, all had a 8-8 record by seasons end. Last year we only lost to playoff teams, and this year the Bucs and Bears are both 4-3.

Like I said, anything is possible, I would never guarantee a win, but we don't have a history of losing to bad teams. We just need to play the elite teams and mediocre teams better

Because predicting that the team you claim to be a fan of loses to an 0-8 team who ranks 30th in yards/game(294.9), 30th in points/game(15.1), 31st in opposing teams yards/game(402.9), and 32nd in opposing teams points/game(31.5) is fucking ultra substantive and realistic, and in no way could be or should be misconstrued as attention seeking.

And Lord knows everybody just loves seeing half a dozen seperate new gameday knee-jerk Falcon bashing threads (suprisingly down from what use to be a dozen+) followed up by two or three "I told ya so" additional Falcon bashing threads after getting the extremely improbable and overwhelmingly incredulous 50/50 "prediction" correct.
