I would have to say either the Peerlees Price signing, or, D. Hall's childlessness, or Woody Dantzler as a suitable back up.

i'm with you. i want the team i dedicate my fandom to, to dominate and roll through the playoffs and superbowl. heck, if we just made it through the playoffs and win the superbowl by the skin of our teeth, i'd be happy with that.

but sometimes i wonder if some fans don't want us back to being the cellar dweller laughing stock team of the whole league instead of just getting to the playoffs

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

Don't know what I did wrong. We got spanked the last two playoff games and embarrassed. 2 points is nothing to get excited over. It shows that we weren't ready.

The first PO game was an actual game. Then we held with GB until we flopped around like a fish out of water. And finally NY shows thatwe didn't deserve to be there.

There's nothing wrong with me. I'd like to have those games back, but we don't have that option.

Obviously our playoff games did not reflect the outcome that we all wanted, but I refuse to call being a perennial playoff team "worthless"

I am absolutely positive that a different offensive coordinator would have done something different with those 4th and short attempts and the NYG game would have looked much different/better.

I mean how fucking stupid is it to line your QB up under center with NO RB in the backfield? It's one thing to run a QB sneak on 4th and short, but it's a whole nother realm of "WTF!?" to tell the other defense there's a 100% chance that that's exactly what you're running.

It's a sneak, do you really need 8 blockers on the line? Couldn't you AT LEAST give the appearance that there's a slight chance we might hand off to a RB, throw a screen or dump pass, toss a quick out or slant, or some kind of short play-action?

But no, we had an OC that doesn't like doing half those things and would rather telegraph exactly what we're doing on a 4th and short.

Things will surely be much different going forward. Koetter has already guaranteed us that. So there's already very good reason to be optimistic.

Trading up to draft that QB from VT, that is mine. I was real excited about that, and it was beyond worthless.

I completely disagree with this but I have a fully admitted bias. Confused

I agree with you. While Vick might be a "worthless" person, his years here, however misspent, were particularly exciting. Lets not forget the last playoff games we won. Also his fall from grace paved the way for the current regime, and that 3 million in bonus money we got this year from Vick, might have been the grease that allowed the Asante trade.

Disappointing, Sure
Frustrating, Yeah
Embarrassing, Sort of
Worthless, not really
