Funny, when I played, I was taught to lead with my face mask, watch the stomach to avoid being juked, and wrap up tackle the mid section, starting with the face mask and sliding to your shoulder. Once I had my arms around someone, I added what I called an "alligator roll" if the didn't go down on the first hit.

How long ago did you play? Because I've heard of the stories of kids being taught to tackle with their facemask. But when I was playing we weren't taught to tackle that way. We were taught to run through our man by leading with our shoulder and to wrap up that way.
