We already played a 3-4-4 (with a nickle) more snaps than we played our base 4-3-4. We even played a fair amount of 4-4-3 and 4-2-5.

I think it's a safe bet that Nolan will have us leaning more towards 3 down lineman and have TD draft accordingly. Meaning we need a big NT (which I think we do either way). Whether that means we'll have 4 LB's or 3 LB's with a nickle predominantly who knows. I think he'll use both. Dunno if we'll announce an official move to 3-4 as our base though, but I don't think it really matters. He's going to run a hybrid either way.

Mass and Biermann can both stand up and rush or play 2nd layer.

We only have 3 DE's listed, so it's pretty obvious where we're going with the draft. We might just get one in FA and also draft one high along with a pass rushing OLB. I think DE/OLB (ie. pass rush) is priority #1 for TD right now and that's where we go first.

No idea about CB. They are really high on McClain, but we obviously need either Grimes or a high draft pick here who can contribute. Don't think we go FA here, but who knows. I think we got room for ONE decent FA and that's it. But don't think it's a CB unless Grimes.

A big NT type is a must IMO. Travian Robertson is supposedly up to 320, however. That dude is a freaking monster. Benches like 600 lbs. 320 and he is RIPPED. I think he makes a splash this year, but I also think we get a NT in the draft.

Didn't Nolan say he wanted a hybrid defense? Maybe that's a smoke screen but we ran a lot of different looks out there.
I've been wondering about the 3-4 vs 4-3. What is the real difference between DEs?
