I disagree about Baker. In order for this offense to succeed, we need a LT that can handle his responsibilities by himself. Critics of our OC point to conservative, predictable play calling, but fail to see how much help Baker needs. Svitek might as well be fused to Baker's hip. And, he should be given some of Baker's salary for all the work he has done for Baker.

We can talk about spreading the field and deep passes, but none of that can happen until we can protect our QB with five OL's. Baker is a disaster at LT. We may be able to salvage his career by moving him to RT. Clabo would probably make a great RG. The problem is that we have no real answer for LT. If Svitek or Valdez can not step into that role, expect to see a return to the methodical, plodding offense that many fans hate.

I like your optimism, you know I do. What I see is the obvious O-Line flaw and Matt taking hit after hit after hit. I don't like predicting injuries but honestly - its just a matter of time before Matt goes down at this rate. If Matt Ryan gets hurt and misses games, then it will be a long second half of the season.

For the first two games, the O-Line was the problem and no adjustments have been made - NONE. I heard excuse after excuse from the O-Line apologists - "Chicago's D-Line is the best, we won't face them every week" to "Baker played well in 4th qtr of Eagles game when it counted", blah, blah, blah.

ENOUGH!!! It is what it is - our O-Line sucks and our coaches don't make adjustments. What do you think the Blitz-Happy Saints will do to our O-Line and Matt Ryan? What do you think the Packers will do to Falcons O-Line?....

This train is unfortunately off the track - not seeing how we get it back on right now - hope I'm wrong. Having said that, surely to God we can beat Seattle next week.
