You can make all the denigrating statements you want at the moment about the Falcons, your team handled business against us. I understand the passionate hatred for other NFC South teams but I am more than willing to give the Saints their due when they deserve it. You might want to reevaluate your attitude towards your biggest rival in terms of showing the proper respect; especially on OUR forum....

Defending NFC South Champs - THE Atlanta Falcons

We are going to ROFLStomp the Saints when we face them again. We are rapidly getting better as the year goes along and are close to a totally different team now that when we faced your Saints. Hitting our stride at the right moment with the weak part of our schedule in front of us. You act like your team is flawless (they are far from it), beat us by 20+ (they barely won, in case you forgot), and have the division locked up (they don't). Then lets see how disrespectful you can be, Guido, and still maintain a straight face. Big Grin

This topic is titled "What I liked", Guido. What did YOU like about the Falcons game against the Titans? Hopefully you aren't just content to argue semantics with Beef? Wink

Y'all are a totally different team now than you were nine days ago? The Falcons have played one game since then and in that game gave up two late scores to a rookie QB after getting out to a solid lead. I don't really see how that is "hitting your stride" since facing the Saints.

The Falcons are clearly the second best team in the NFC South and I respect that. They are a dangerous team, but like all other teams in the league, they have their flaws. It just so happens that some of those flaws plays right into the Saints game.

As for what I liked about the Titans game ... I'll tell you what I didn't like. That would equate to what you are looking for. I didn't like the way that Roddy White appeared to finally get his head out of his ass and make a few plays. I didn't like the fact that Turner found the end zone.

I did like the fact that the Falcon's held that over-hyped Chris Johnson to 13 yards.

As for arguing with Beef, I can never bring myself to refrain from that.

Yes, I think we are very different now than we were then. That shows you how quickly I think our team is improving every week. If we are rapidly improving it simply means that by the time we face the Saints again, that loss by three will equate to a win by 7 or more.

Thanks for answering my questions. +1 for that. Wink

Exactly how do you feel the Falcons have improved since facing the Saints?

I may be biased, but I just don't see it.

You can't exactly say the aint's are on an upward curve either. Their defense is not looking that stout.

By the way, I have never met an aint's fan I could even stand. My brother included.

I love the Falcons and to hell with anyone who doesn't!

I went back and read my OP and it should have said....

What I was getting at is that the Falcons have been improving every week since before we faced the Saints and that trend has continued. Better play from our front four, OL, our QB, and our #1 WR. Sorry to burst your bubble but if you can not see improvement in our team over the past 5 weeks you are either not watching the games or are bias. Knowing you, probably a bit of both. Big Grin

Actually, I have seen every single Falcons game this season. And, yes, they have appeared to improve over the past five games, but given the start on the season there was no place to go but up. Your QB did look better against the Colts and Titans (early). His games against the Lions and the Saints, however, looked pretty much inline with the first five of the season.

Your #1 WR finally had a solid game last week against the Titans, but has still only managed one TD over the past five games and none in the last three.

As for the lines, they have both shown improvement, with the offense looking better sans Baker and the front four getting a modicum of pressure on opposing QB. Both are still far from being what I would call impressive.

So, yes, there has been improvement, but has there been enough to handle the stretch run? We'll see.

In all fairness, the Saints also have their issues with questions in the LB corps and periodic lapses in the run defense as a whole. Although, they are related. Also, the lack of turnovers has been troubling.
