You pay someone $60 million to make plays. He couldn't do it.

The Bears played zone coverage all day on 3rd and long and how did that work out?

Every team plays the same schemes its who you have on the field and how they execute that matters. We rushed four and got pressure sometimes and they rushed four and got more pressure.

Look at the film and adjust for next week.

You're crazy for calling out Edwards because he didn't get a sack. Such a stupid, overrated stat that doesn't evaluate how productive a player is to a team.

Though Biermann out played him.

If they both pick up this year, we could get very good up front.

Ray caused issues even without the stats.

I love this first post. We basically performed the worst that we possibly could against a team that has a great defense and an offense that we SHOULD have been able to handle. We now know from first hand experience and the first game of the season that we got schooled both offensively and defensively.

The biggest issue I saw was with the Oline. We had 2 newbies on there playing next to each other. That's disaster in the making for any team.

The second issue I saw was with MM. His gameplan was to clearly throw the ball. Even though our Oline was doing pretty dang well with the run protection, MM kept wanting to throw the ball. With nearly 7 defenders in coverage on every play, it's just not possible to focus on the pass as much as we did. We did NOT pound the rock enough to warrant the Bears to defend the run. That alone would have opened up the passing game, but we just couldn't get it going.

All we had today were 3-5 yard passes. I believe we have Ryan thinking too much about the deep ball that we should have stuck with what was working and adjust the game plan around it. I saw no gameplan adjustments from either MM or BVG.

This, my friends, was a fail of epic proportions.

Being down like we were, as quickly as we were, kinda made it that way.

Nope. Had a great run with Turner and then tried a few more runs until we just gave up on it.

We ran 14 times all game and ended up with 110 yards on the ground.

5 runs in Q1
4 runs in Q2

We tried too hard to get it down the field. With the 4 man rush being so effective, the strategy for MM was shot.
