Falcons: We know where we stand, Now what to do?

We have all saw the problems for the Falcons team as they are for now, nothing new but I guess that is a positive that is IF THEY GET THE PROBLEMS FIXED!.

What do you think the Falcons should do at this point?

IMO, doesn't matter if it is the bears or whatever team, Matt Ryan just didn't have any time and the O-line could not protect him at all. He just didn't have the time.

As for the defense, all I can say is "Ray Who?", Although I probably shouldn't say that because his play allowed Kroy Beerman <---Yeah I spelled that right! - To get a sack.

No loss is a good one, but this one HOPEFULLY will show BVG and MM what needs to be fixed.

It was interesting to hear the commentators talking about the bears defense, mostly because they weren't saying the bend but don't break thing, they were saying "Keep EVERYTHING IN FRONT OF YOU". I think that's what the Falcons need to keep in mind on defense. Also I think they need to RUN FIRST if the O-line isn't going to be any better than this.

Whatever the case, it's a loss, it's not the end of the world, and the Falcons will be better as time goes on. Only threat in the NFC South is the Ain'ts and they lost also game one against a team that won the division against the packers.

My entire point is, don't hold your head down just yet Falcons fans and friends, this was not a loss, it was a learning experience, and not one that will really matter because it's all about winning the Superbowl.

I still believe in this Falcons team, yeah, I have said the O-line isn't that good and whatever, but the bottom line is, this Falcons vs. Chicago game was a bad day and regardless of what happened the Falcons will improve.

This was a learning experience, NOW THE FALCONS KNOW WHAT NOT TO DO!

I felt the entire game that the bears defense was tackling the Falcons O-line players to get to Matt Ryan, if you watch the tape you'll see it, it's subtle but it was what was happening. You can't protect your QB if you aren't upright to do so.

Ovie M. going out didn't help things, and Babs either.

Whatever the case, it's time to DESTROY THE eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We shall see, these are my thoughts on the game after watching it. We shall see.

We need to minimize mistakes like we did last season. Three turnovers in a game, and only forccing one, is not something you can "usually" overcome. We made a valiant effort but faced a very good football team. Hopefully when we see the Eagles next week we can limit the penalties and turnovers better. Thats something we did last season very well.

As far as personell goes, missing Mclure was evident. Our OLine simply looked overmateched at times. Turner and our receivers look fine. There were a couple drops but overall our offense looked much better with Julio and HD in there. Defensively, we need to hurry along Sanders and Hayden and hope they can step in as soon as possible. Our coverage was decent but not where it needs to be. Both our starting corners made a few errors. The front seven looked good, but again, several players made costly errors. Im ready to sign a FA kicker right now and replace Bosher. Fuck that guy.

Its time to put a hurting on the Eagles and make the home opener something to remember.

It's more than just that, yeah Decoud missed 2 picks, but the play calling didn't fit the team. If you want to be an explosive team then you need to make explosive play calls.

We had a gaping hole at C/RG. Baker again gets exposed by top flight pass rushers. Dunta Robinson was beyond horrible in both coverage and in tackling. Decoud should have had at least two picks instead he let the ball fall through his fingers twice.

We played better than the score but we have some definite work to do on the OL and in the secondary.

BVG wasn't playing out of position out there, nor was he missing tackles.

We actually out gained them and even had a pick 6 and 4 sacks. It was missed tackling on defense.

Mularky didn't drop all those passes or fail to look down field. He also didn't miss the blocks and get all those nonsense penalties, nor did he fumble and throw picks.

We were 4-13 on 3rd down today. Execution is not the Coordinator's fault, that falls on the players.

BVG gives me no confidence what so ever, he belongs in college not the NFL. His schemes are too vanilla and teams figure us out too easily. He may not be tackling but ultimately it's his responsibility for his players to be fundamentally sound.

When does it become the players responsibility?

We always make excuses for the million dollar tackling dummies out there but when do they finally take the fall for bad play?

Dunta Robinson should take responsibility but additionally who put him in a position to be the only man to contain one side when you know he's a garbage player? 3rd & long, let's play a zone coverage and hope for the best.
