We Rose Up, Now Let's Stay Up
Firstly I would like to thank the creators and administrators of this place for its existence. There are a good few people here who I like take to talk football with and appreciate taking in their input. It's a good place and keeping it around should hopefully bring in more people capable of holding intelligent football discussion.
This Franchise had a great season. We were a few plays away from the Superbowl. Compared to what was so stupidly predicted. That's huge. We are a consistent team. Built for being competitive long term so no more dumb talk about our window is closing. We have a QB who will be here likely until he retires who is a stellar football player. We have a great receiver duo flanking him and we must build what lines up behind him and between them. But that is not impossible and we will get results quicker than you think as we identify players who fit this system and move forwards. Our quarterback was injured late in that game. He'll get to spend all off season resting and rehabilitating and he will come back stronger this year. He is tough and the face if this franchise. I think the play after he got hurt. They showed his face and his mouth was bloodied as also his nose looked to be. No fuss. Just grit mental toughness and physical toughness. Anyone who questions what he is giving and has given is just hell bent on being miserable, making others feel uncomfortable and argue with them for attention and kicks. Constructive input is one thing but let the jackassery rest it's unbecoming. The core fanbase of this team has been Galvanised. We came so very close. We saw our team give as much as they could and they came up short. Bandwagoners are gonna kick up a stink, fair weather fans will fade away until better times. But we remain and after the hurt of losing fades away perspective will likely leave you feeling blessed to have seen such a great season despite the flaws. The great thing about our franchise is they don't rest on their laurels. They ask themselves what they need to do to improve and they work towards it. The offense in my opinion is set at all but 3 spots I will detail that in another post. These will be dealt with. I am confident of that. The defense, it's going to take at least 2 drafts and free agency periods to get the stalwart defense that we are after. I think Nolan is gonna be around a good while as we have a situation with him Akin to the steelers DC and the GB DC they are happy where they are and with what they are building. The defense however for a long time has been neglected as the focus. I think that will now change though. Honestly the future of this team is bright. We will see a Superbowl wining Falcons team sooner than some of you May think. It's not gonna be another 15 years till we have a chance to sniff this moment. We'll be back next year stronger and smarter. Revitalised. I'll leave you with this though and hope as a fan you embrace it. And as a Han being you embody it. Courage is not the towering oak that sees storms come and go. It is the fragile blossom that opens in the snow. We've been in winter a long time. And we continue to bloom. Be upset. Do what you need to to get over the loss. But let your love of the team and your fandome continue to bloom. One more Thread coming from me. A little more team specific perhaps. |
