Falcons: Vick Irony

Insert Nick Foles in Philadelphia. I think that kid could be good. However, the Eagles are going to be even tougher on us than the Raiders were yesterday. That is, if they hand the ball to McCoy all day.

People tend to forget it's all about match ups, timing, teams go through hot and cold streaks etc. That is why you see good teams lose to bad teams and vice versa. I think our new defense will match up well with the Eagles and coming off our bye will be more beneficial for us then them coming of their bye week. Plus oddly enough we have played better on the road this year.

If you want to play that game we still win, you say the Eagles will be tougher than the Raiders I say,

Pittsburgh beat the Eagles, Oakland Beat Pittsburgh

We just beat a team that beat a team that beat the Eagles. The Eagles are 3-3 we are 6-0 what makes you think they are going to be tougher?

Because the Eagles always play us tough. It's like they all want to help Vick show us up so the entire team turns it up a notch.

And I hate to say it, but we always play them with a lack of confidence. Like we know it's going to be a struggle, and as soon as it is a struggle, we mail it in.

But something is different with our team this year. I don't see us thinking like that this game. We seem to be going in to EVERY game with the expectation of winning big. Not just hoping to win, but actually winning with certainty. The hope is we blow the other team away this time rather than just hope to pull out a win.

We beat them last year in our house. It's hardly like we've quit against them under Mike Smith.

Yeah, I think from a team perspective we put the whole Vick thing to rest with that win. There won't be near as much hoopla surrounding this game as in the past. The press is just as likely to be feasting on Vick's miscues as much as anything else.

Plus it's not in the Georgia Dome. "Vick Returns" is an angle we won't have to hear this time, thankfully!
