Falcons Turner is back.

Turner is back.
Don't know why, if it is the lighter load, or if it was the DUI and a kick in the ass, but Turner is back to his earlier dominate running back form...

We needed it, and it is great to see him run with heart and will again.
Nice to see him catch the ball on the screen and take it to the house, too.

Ignorance can be educated.....Stupidity is to the bone.

RE: Turner is back.
I wouldn't say that Turner is back to his old self because the Panthers run D is horrible. But if he does it again next week I might be more inclined to agree with you.

RE: Turner is back.
Probably a little bit of both. The lighter load obviously means a healthier running back.

People said that last week too. He never left no need for him to come back.

RE: Turner is back.
Go back and watch the first two weeks of his play this year...he left in mind if not body.
Something changed in him, after the DUI or maybe it was just the Denver game itself, but he runs harder and doesn't go down as easy since then. You could see it against the Chargers, and now against the Panthers, rarely one man brought him down, and the way he trucked the 60 yards on the screen...that looked like the Turner from his earlier years here.

Ignorance can be educated.....Stupidity is to the bone.

RE: Turner is back.
These people that have been swearing the past year and a half that Turner is done, is bad, has slowed down, needs to be a backup; shut the fuck up now, please. It takes run blocking to run the ball. When our guys don't block well, we don't run well. Turner is the same back he was when he got here and all that hating (because you would rather see Quizz "start" or don't want us to do anything but pass) was, and still is, silly.

I'm so glad I kept the faith in Turner and didn't sign my name to that POS thread over on AFMB.

Great game, with a lot of tough runs! Glad we're not depending on him to catch too many passes, though. : )

RE: Turner is back.
I'd really like to say that Turner is "back", for whatever that is worth; but the panthers have been terrible against the run this year. They gave up like 110+ for 2 TDs to some guy named Andre Brown last week, 160+ and a touch to Ingram and PThomas in week 2, and 95 to a mediocre Doug Martin in week 1. Their run D is on the wrong side of the bell curve and it took us a while to realize that today. Let's see how these next few games unfold before we get all giddy about 103 on the ground against a defense that was giving 120 per game coming into today. It sucks because I don't want to be a one dimensional team. But before today, Turner was averaging 51.3 yds per game. Either he's not doing enough with the ball when we give it to him, or we aren't committing to the run as much this year. Either way, our ground game isn't something to be pleased about up to this point.

This is my signature.

RE: Turner is back.
If this were fantasy football I'd be selling Turner very high but I do like the way he's gone about his business and he is still a key part to the success of this year's team. Every piece has its purpose.
