I could say that most people would call you a faggot, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't take that comment as me taking the high road. Big Grin

Which is exactly why he worded it that way. He wanted to leave plausible deniability that he himself feels that way.

Read what he said- "some people around the league call them dirt bags, but it is what it is". Tuck is not calling anyone a dirt bag, just saying what others have said. Be real guys.

quoting someone else's words to make your point is bout the same as saying it yourself tho, yeah, be real. "it is what it is" so take that as one Dlineman quoting other Dlineman from around the league, his 'brothers' so to speak. yeah, be real. as i've already said though, i was making a joke of it because on this and other Falcons boards, the Fans of this team have called them way worse than dirtbags.

oh and if memory serves me right, there was a poll before the season that asked who would take JA98's spot for being the player most hated/called out/dissed....i remember a LOT of people picking Sam Baker, i'd guess since he lost his starting spot to an undrafted free agent, he won...LOL

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

OLine Dirtbags

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The reputation of the Falcons' offensive line for blocking through the whistle has made its way to the Big Apple.

The Falcons call it being nasty, but earlier this season the Green Bay Packers called them dirty. The Giants seem to agree.

“Most people would call them dirt bags,” Giants defensive end Justin Tuck told New York Daily News on Monday. “But it is what it is. We got to make sure we do our job, and, if we are doing our job well, then they will be upset and they will be trying to do things to get us off our game. We’ve got to take that a as a compliment.”

Green Bay nose tackle B.J. Raji previously accused the Falcons of flopping for the referees when the Packers retaliated with an extra shove.

“Yeah, we have seen it,” Tuck said. “We know that they have that quote-unquote reputation. But in a way it is kind of exciting. ... In the same sense you got to protect yourself, and hopefully the referees have 20-20 vision this week.”

RE: Tuck calls Atlanta OLine "dirtbags"
Whether Tuck actually called them dirtbags or not is a moot point. It's only bulletin board material if the Falcons linemen find it offensive, and I can say with confidence that they don't.

I only hope that following the Falcons victory on Sunday, Messrs. Svitek, Blalock, McClure, Hawley and Clabo each takes a sackful of Georgia clay and deposits it midfield at MetLife Stadium.
