Falcons: Tuck calls Atlanta OLine "dirtbags"

OLine Dirtbags

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The reputation of the Falcons' offensive line for blocking through the whistle has made its way to the Big Apple.

The Falcons call it being nasty, but earlier this season the Green Bay Packers called them dirty. The Giants seem to agree.

“Most people would call them dirt bags,” Giants defensive end Justin Tuck told New York Daily News on Monday. “But it is what it is. We got to make sure we do our job, and, if we are doing our job well, then they will be upset and they will be trying to do things to get us off our game. We’ve got to take that a as a compliment.”

Green Bay nose tackle B.J. Raji previously accused the Falcons of flopping for the referees when the Packers retaliated with an extra shove.

“Yeah, we have seen it,” Tuck said. “We know that they have that quote-unquote reputation. But in a way it is kind of exciting. ... In the same sense you got to protect yourself, and hopefully the referees have 20-20 vision this week.”

Well I guess the shots fired got started quicker than I thought. I actually thought that this would be a no verbal jab game. I was wrong, you know, over the past couple of weeks NYG have really talked some crap. Oh well, maybe our "dirtbags" can shut 'em up! lol

I see nothing damning about that quote. To me Tuck was asked and he took the high road.

Well Tuck proved his intelligence after saying about 3 times they were playing the Lions after beating the Cowboys. I think he knew who the hell they were playing. It was Tuck post game with Rachel Nichols right? I took that as a slap in the face. This, this is a compliment. We're a buncha dirt bags so come Sunday you better be ready to get dirty JT!

Yep. He didn't call them dirtbags. Indirect or not, he didn't not say that the OL are a bunch of dirtbags. All you guys are stretching the quote too much.

i was making a joke because we Falcons fans have called em a lot worse. i mean if he wants to start some media trash talk he'd have to do better than that

They are a bunch of dirtbags. Of course the Giants are angels, who always play clean. Funny its always the other team that's dirty. As long as the Falcons do their talking on the field and in their blue endzones on Sunday, I don't care what they say.
