Greg Davis kicked for Lakeside. He lived on Shallowford Road in the Bradford Square Condos and I lived in the Apartments next to Bradford Square. We had a big field with volley ball posts set up and he used to come practice over there and sometimes I would gather up his footballs for him. I think I was in 7th grade when he was a senior.

He went on to kick and punt at Citadel and got his big break when the strike happened. He was the Falcons replacement kicker in 87 and became their regular kicker for several years the next year after Luckhurst retired.

+2 for Tandy and I got a follow up question too in a minute.

Not fair that we can't look it up - I could only think of Elam, Davis and Peterson being from here.

I know we had a lot of kickers who were not even born in the Country - much less Atlanta!

Anyway - that's a pretty cool story!

Lol '87 wasn't THAT long ago and he did say it was a while back I was thinking maybe Etter too.
